Wrinkle cream that works?

By TGon 14 Jul 2009

Shopping at the Nordstrom sale and swung by the cosmetics counter to see about a high potent wrinkle cream. So many choices!! I would love to hear if anyone has seen ANY difference in their wrinkles or skin care from their products.

TG - I swear by my Freeze 24-7. i can't say it gets rid of wrinkles (does anything besides botox?) but i can say it does a darn good job covering it up and reducing the way they appear.

I have Olay Regenerist, Dr. Loretta Youthfull Wri-Lax, and No. 7 Protection & Perfection. Are any of these any good; if so, which is best?

All of your choices sound great. Good companies with real research, bioactive compounds in the product, not just hocus pocus ingredients like mushrooms (Origins) Shishiedo has some of my trusted products. Just bought at macys their bio-performance restoring cream. Try a sample. You'll be won over.

I've tried them all and finally went for a facelift but want to stay with good skin maintenance to protect the working I had done. Patricia Wexler's products are great (sold at Bath and Body) - her universal anti-aging moisturizer SPF 30 with MMP is very good. the Obagi line is great - it is a whole regime and you should use the entire product line. The only sunscreen I will use is fairly expensive ($48) by B. Kamins, Chemist - it is a Bio-maple sunbar sunscreen spf 30 and is oil-free for face and body - broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection - water resistant, may be reapplied over makeup - ideal for sensitive, photosensitive and rosacea type skin. www.bkamins.com - their questions line is 1-888-252-6467 - I bought it on a vacation trip in Scottsdale as I had left my Obagi Nu-derm SPF 35 #6 at home. For maintenance of the under eye area be sure to use the Elastiderm night eye cream by Obagi - before putting on your moisturizers be sure to try the Epionce re-blancing clarifier - it prepares your skin for the moisurizers as is fantastic. I've done extensive research for the best product and just found something you can get at Sephora which is called "The Youth As We Know it" as it packs the 10 best ingredient discoveries from the last 10 years - check it out at Bliss.com or Sephora - it was $79 at Sephora. You will love how it feels on your skin and keeps it soft. Obagi has a disc they will send you. Obagi and Epionce are carried by most Plastic Surgeon's offices.

Great suggestions hofffazio. I use La Roche Posay Redermic, which fills in my lines. I use it along with several other products, but is my latest find. Redermic has Madecassoside, a compound from a rare healing plant. Also has vitamin c for beating back damage from free radicals. Paid $45 for it.

where did you buy the redermic cream?

Hi-- I have been a happy La Roche Posay user for six years. Following a Fraxel laser/photofacial/microdermabrasion rejuvenation, I began using Redermic and I am very happy. It even helps with lip lines. I just cancelled my appointment for Botox injections as premature due to the visible effects of Redermic. I use La Roche Posay vitamin C cream during the day with sunblock and at night I use the Redermic. As Ant said, it's compatible with other products. Most importantly, it has clinical support for the effectiveness of the product. I looked at LifeCell and some others, but there was no clinical support for the claims made. Therefore, I went with Redermic and am satisfied. It's not terribly expensive. You can buy it on numerous websites. Stay beautiful!

I bought it on eBay, but you can buy it from plastic surgeons and dermatologists if they handle the line. There are also a number of online skin product websites that sell La Roche Posay.

Nothing is getting more press then Boots No. 7 Restore & Renew Beauty Serum. if you can find it, you're a lucky one. Avail in the US at CVS
TARGET carrys BOOTS NO.7 REFINE & REWIND 23 May 2009
Believe it or not....Target has started carrying BOOTS products! I use a lot of the BOOTS skincare line. Granted...there are NO QUICK FIXES for wrinkles..BUT I really can tell that my wrinkles aren't quite so deep and I'm just finishing up my first bottle. The serum is awesome and makes my skin feel like silk. I have tried products that claim to "make the wrinkles disappear in seconds" and it just isn't true. The ones that I've tried actually feel like I've applied a thin coat of Elmers Glue on my face. And don't even think about applying lotion or makeup on top of it....because it will just roll it off....just like it would Elmers GLUE! I also like Dr. Patricia Wexlers skincare line, which is carried by Bath & Bodyworks...it's just a little pricey...but most of the better products are. Mary Kay's TimeWise line is also very good and probably the best deal for the money. NO matter which skincare line I use...I will always continue using the BOOTS No.7 Refine & Rewind Serum with them! It's awesome!

I prefer using Bee Line Free Eye Cream by BeeCeuticals Organics. Its a cream that smooths out fine lines & gets rid of wrinkles.

I use Nouveau Cosmeceuticals "Cell Rejuvenation Serum" $61 followed by their "Cell AM/PM Hydration Creme" $44.00. These products have really diminished my lines and eliminated many of the age spots I had.

my favorite eye cream is by Kate Somerville....Line Release Under Eye Repair. I know that it is not on your list but it is one great cream....go online and get some samples and try it before you buy anything else, I know you'll love it!!!

I have been using Epionce Renewal Eye Cream and also just started using the Renew Face Cream that I guess is more targeted for areas other than the eyes. I swear by their eye cream, it makes the areas around my eyes seem like newer and fresher skin that the rest of my body. My doctor recommended it to me, and I've been very satisfied so far.

I have seen a new product that get's rid of crows feet and wrinkles without a knife or injections. I am not even into these types of things but I saw this take wrinkles, puffiness and crows feet, not to say it wiped it all away with one use. I can say it took away the laugh line around the mouth gone, and his crows feet was mostly gone, and everyone I see use this it amazes me. This is the Galvanic Spa 2. Me telling you seems kind of crazy but you got to see it in real life. Have you heard or seen this at all. When using the Spa there is a cream that puts the elasticity back in your skin.

I've been using Athena 7 Minute Lift and their skin care collection for about a year now. It's the only thing I've ever found that actually works. I used to use Freeze 24/7 but I found that the results did not last very long (more of a quick fix). The other thing I really like about Athena is that you don't need very much of it. One jar lasts me nearly 3 months and it is small enough that I can carry it with me in my purse.

Athena 7 Minute Lift is excellent, I've had great results around the mouth and eye area. It last about 2-3 months depending how often you use it. Its a quick fix that lasts about 5 hours.

Microdermx has some of the best reviews. So does agelessmoisture both great!

i recently saw a 3 month review of wrinkle creams on British television ,from cheap to several hundred $$$$ a pot,not ONE did what they claimed. the cheapest did give the skin a 'glow' ,but not one lessoned wrinkles.!
kat 5 Jun 2008
Well, all I can say about Redermic is that there are clinical studies supporting the efficacy of the product. My anecdotal evidence supports these findings. I will still use Botox, but this really is a good product.

I don't know if you would consider this a wrinkle cream, but I use Prodonia Antioxidant Power-house and it has done amazing things for my skin (wasn't expecting it because antioxidants are suppose to prevent future damage so you're not really suppose to notice anything) but for some reason there has been a more even tone to my skin. They also have a skin care forum in case you don't get enough of skin care talk :) Prodonia anti aging skin care
