Wow I am doing this in two weeks. Am I crazy?

Having an tummy tuck and breast reduction done in two weeks. Not my first foray into cosmetic surgery. A bit nervous, although you guys have helped. Take me through this ladies. I am finishing what began with liposuction, 4 years ago, my abdomen. I am feeling selfish but am unhappy with me now.

One thing for those who have not had their surgery yet.....cut all all salt out of your diet at least two weeks before surgery. It helped me so much. I learned that many years ago when I flew to Paris and couldn't put my shoes on when we landed. I cut out salt this surgery and it has been a God send.

I have been cutting back, and my surgery is next Wednesday. I will be sure to be even more careful for the last few days.

Totally agree Linda...the sodium is the DEVIL!! It will make you puff up and hurt after this surgery.

Today I cried. I cried a lot. I cried because I have owned halter tops for some 6 years that I have never worn outside of my closet because my breasts were too large for them to look decent for me to wear in public. It's been 9 days and I can already see the change. And the change is amazing. What Dr. Harris did for me is nothing short of a miracle. He gave me back my self esteem (and a wardrobe that is new since I've never worn it). For those of you who are debating changing your body because you are not comfortable in your own skin, don't wait. I'm so happy and so amazed that such a surgery can change so much in my life. I can't wait for the six weeks to pass to see what I am going to permanently look like. Joy is all I feel right now. Sheer and utter joy. Thanks to my PS seems like it's not enough. I feel re-born and I am grateful.

Only two weeks away! Very exciting.

You deserve this so if you are absolutely sure this is what you want to do; then go for it. I have had both done and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. You will feel like a new woman after the surgery and absolutely love your body. These procedures give you a big confidence boost.

This is the question....why shouldn't you? This is your body, your decision and that is all that matters. You are having what I call "Woman" guilt. It will pass when you get a look at your new and perky breasts and a flat tummy.

Ok now a man would not think twice or feel guilty about buying a new fishing boat, truck and a trip to Canada fishing with the guys....hmmm.

Well, this isn't my first surgery. I had a face life 8 years ago and then lipo on my torso 5 years ago, which is what precipitaed the tummy tuck. I was told when I did the lipo, that I would probably need a tummy tuck. My dr is conservative, a trait I adore, and I knew I would have to do this. The breast reduction was just something that I have wanted for years. As I got older, and after my lipo, my breasts increased 4 cup sizes and my weight is less! I am petite, only 5'3" and by no means over weight. Okay, why do I have the guilt.....well, I will be out of commission for 2 weeks, I historically have not been a great patient, I'm afraid of the level of pain, leaving my business partner with our business...you get the picture? So your response was what I needed. I feel so blessed to have even found this web site! Thanks!

Hi Linda,

I call this "Body Maintenance". No harm in that at all. A girl has to do what a girl has to do. We work hard and want to look good and that is a good thing.

It will be such a short time that you are totally out of commission so I am sure your business partner won't mind. It is temporary...

This is an awesome site and we all cheer each other along here.
