RE: Worried about belly button after mini tummy tuck

By Betty Z. on 18 Jun 2008

I just had my mini TT about 2 wks ago. All went fine. The pain was less than during a c-section. I'm worried about the way the belly button looks. It looks like a line with two folds around it. My doc said to start packing it which I'm doing but once I remove the gauze and tape, it folds back into a line. I can't see how the skin will spread apart but I'm still hopeful. Is this the normal healing process for the belly button because the pictures that I've seen show very tight skin around the navel. Will time fix this???

Girlfriends of mine have used the marble technique. Basically, tape a marble into your bellybutton every night before you go to sleep for a month or two. I know it sounds funny, but theirs look great now! Not skinny, but round and natural.

My belly button looked so bad before I am happy with how mine looks now. However, it has only been 7 days and I still have some swelling.

I also had a mini tummy tuck with liposuction a month ago and I am very displeased with the area around the belly button. How does your abdomen look now that time has passed? I am worried that I may have needed a full TT:(

Same thing happened to me. The area around my belly button is all rinckly. I should have done a full tummy tuck. My PS said I cant have a full tummy tuck any more. I dont know what to do. I am so depressed I can't stop crying. Can you tell me what you did?
