Thanks - it went well and was about 3.5 hours. In some pain and my chest feels very heavy but excited to have done it. How is your recovery?

My was 3.5 hours and he removed 480g from each side. I hope it was enough. Il like to be a B or C but I think its going to be a D. We'll see as it goes down.

We were "quoted" 3 hours but it was just about 4 hours! I was in a thick mental fog for about 6 hours after surgery but other than a seriously injured uvula (from the ET tube) there were no complications in the OR or recovery room. Best of luck to you.

I had mine done on 4/15. I was under for 2 1/2 hours. I had to be at the surgery center at 9:30 for surgery at 11 am, but they didn't take me in until 11:30. My husband said the Dr. came out to see him a little after 2 pm. Woke feeling groggy but not in pain. They ask you constantly how much pain your in on a scale of 1 to 10. I never got past a 3. Don't worry, its so worth it. I can't believe the difference! Haven't seen my stomach in years!!! Good Luck. Best advice I can give you is rest and drink a lot of water.

Don't worry, you are not the only one. I have researched, and researched being under for surgery. I can't stand the thought of having that tube down my throat. But you know what, I have been wanting this for over 10 years. That's not going to stop me. When you start getting nervous, start thinking about the cute little tops you are going to be able to wear afterwards. That's what gets me through. lol. :-) Good luck with your surgery! Mine is May 7th.
