I waited 2 weeks to get my boobs wet! Until then I just sat in a shallow bath and washed around my chest area! It will difficult but only 2 weeks at the end of the day! I think I could've got them wet sooner as the nurses at the dressing clinic said I could but I wanted to wait till my 2 week appointment with my PS so he could give me the go ahead personally! Like others have said just listen to whatever your PS tells you, everyone is different!

Hi Kat1986, you need to ask your PS this question. The answer depends on what method your PS uses to close up your incisions. I had permission to shower the day after my BR, even though I had drains. BUT, I had waterproof tape covering my incisions. Depending on how you are closed up or what type of BR you have, you may not be cleared to shower for a week to 10 days. If you have ANY complications, that may affect when you can shower as well. There is a range of ways that PS's close you up, so the only person who should answer this question is your PS or one of his nurses.
