When did your pubic mound swelling go down after a tummy tuck?

I am 3 weeks post from my tummy tuck with muscle repair.  My pubic mound looks like a Ken Doll!  I can't stand it.  If this happened to you, how long did it take to look normal again?  Thanks!

I didn't wear yoga pants for awhile actually. I am 4 months out and I think it's still a bit too big for what I was hoping for at this point!

I'm 8 months…. still got the monster crotch, tho I suppose it might be a LITTLE bit smaller? Got a ways to go. I'm giving it the full year!!

Damn, wish I hadn't read your comment, I am laughing so hard at 'the monster crotch'!! Trying not to hurt myself from laughing (5 wks post op TT & BR) - now every time I look at mine I'll think 'monster crotch' LMAO!! I know exactly what you both mean - but I was wondering whether it was just because my stomach wasn't there any more, that it was more noticeable? Thanks for the laugh, I needed it :D

I still swell down there at 5.5 months. Worst at the end of the day

I am over 12 weeks and I notice mine comes and goes. And while in general it isn't, some days it is really sore and tender again!

Mine did lipo in that area as she said she didn't want me to end up looking like I was "packing". The swelling went down about 3 weeks.

I'm about 18 weeks and it hasn't changed much at all. The last pics I posted show this zone and that was at 15 weeks. OY! Fingers crossed for some change at the 6 month mark!

I have the opposite problem. My PS highly recommended 'thinning and lifting' the mons pubis during surgery, or else I would have a puffy mound after I was healed that would look like a scrotum (yikes). So now it's pulled so tight that I don't recognise myself in the mirror.

I would rather have it tight and thinned than this puffy monster crotch! It's gone down 50% in two weeks, but it's still weird to me. He said it could take a year to fully resolve. UGH

Aww that sounds awful :( I think somewhere in between would be awesome. Mine is pulled so tight that it's made my urethra point straight forward, so I have to hug my knees every time I go to the bathroom or it goes forward between the seat and bowl, all over my pants on the floor. (so embarrassing! though I joked with my partner that we could get a urinal for me). :/

I hope you and I can meet in the middle!! Keep me updated with your progress! I'll take some of your thinness and you can have some of my thickness :-)

Idk but mine is so tight it looks fake and all my skin below my scar is all dark now my private parts an all was not that way pre op did urs get dark too

Mine did not get dark and hard. It's actually the same color and squishy. He drained 10 cc's of fluid there (too small though to keep going back). I just HATE the puffiness and weirdness of it. It's creeping me out!

I have the same thing & hate it. I was worried it was Seroma. It's just hard and a 1/2 egg size. I'm only a week post op though.

Welcome to the flat side! Yeah, the whole puffy/swollen crotch is NOT COOL! I love to wear yoga pants and it makes that are look worse! A seroma is like a waterbed. If you push on that area and see waves go through your skin, it's a seroma. I actually have a small one in my pubic area. He was able to drain some of it, but not the whole thing.
