Just had laser teeth whitening. I love my new white smile. My daily Starbucks habit is no longer showing on my smile.

The dentist offered some tips for keeping the teeth white but none seemed that innovative. Anyone who's had laser whitening found something that keeps the teeth looking white for long periods of time. Don't have the money to do this every year!

1. brush your teeth right after coffee, cola, or red wine (better yet, minimize these)

2. avoid berry desserts or jams that stain teeth

3. weekly use a teeth whitening tray to maintain results
--crest strips and teeth whitening toothpaste won't help much

4. don't smoke, for more reasons then just your white teeth!

5. accept that you'll need to go back for treatments at least once per year...start saving now.

The best thing is Gosmile which is what most movie stars use. You'll want the daily ampoules and brush on one ampoule daily and it will keep your teeth white.

Hi, For anyone who would like to try something unique to help keep your teeth whiter you might try BriteShots. It is not a whitener, but is a peppermint teeth rinse to help prevent teeth stains. I use it after coffee, tea, etc.

Or, if you can't brush after coffee, etc - rinse. I use BriteShots teeth rinse.

After whitening treatments specifically in-office treatments the teeth are more susceptible to taking on stain within 48 hours after the procedure. During this time I recommend that our patient do not eat or drink anything that may stain a white t-shirt. As far as maintenance goes I like the ampoules in addition to the whitening trays which can be use to touch up after the procedure. With any of the procedures at-home or professional it is very important to be supervised by a dentist, there is a point of saturation in which teeth will no longer whiten and your dentist can determine if you are at that point.

I have never had "laser" whitening. I use the whitening gel by Dr. Collins, and I maintain my white teeth with Dr. Collins "All White" toothpaste. I got it as a freebie when I ordered the gel a long time ago, and fell in love with it. I drink alot of coffee and tea, this works well for me. My teeth are super white :)

Hope this helps!

I recommend the following to maintain your new BriteSmile:
Brush your teeth three to four times daily, or after each meal; floss daily.
Use a whitening toothpaste and a soft bristle toothbrush.
Visit your dentist for regular cleanings and check-ups (recommendation: every 6 months)
