Ava, I am due to have this proceedure in May. Are you feelilng better and are you happy with the results? I am nervous about doing anything to my face.
You are just 4 days into it. Pain is w/in normal that soon. The horror stories are plentiful, but there are happy campers too.
Mine (unhappy) are listed under Bitsy. I posted before that as a guest also, same words. Please keep us posted. Where did you have it done& which DR? It does make a difference.
DON'T DO THE LIFESTYLE LIFT! I had it done and it was very painful, the doctors are their for the procedure and could care less about you once it's over. My incision was sloppy, I looked liked I was cut by a 10 year old! It's been two years and my scars are visible at the top of the ear about an inch up the airline. It I put my hair behind my ears, you can see the scars clearly on each side of my face just beyond the hairline. These people are offering the "QUICK FIX' and that's what your getting. There's no long-term satisfaction with this method. Do yourself a favor - save your money, look for a top notch surgeon, and do it RIGHT! This is your face - don't cut on it unless your absolutely sure you'll be happy with the results and the after-care. My guess is if you research this thoroughly, you won't make the same mistake I did!
Personally, I know 3 people besides myself that have had this done (all of us about 1 1/2 years out) and the results are beautiful at first, but within less than a year two of the four of us look exactly as we did before.
Where did you have procedure done??? I put a deposit down yesterday. I am reading horror stories and great results. More great then horror, but, am still skeptical!
Where did you have procedure done?? I am hearing that certain centers do NOT do the procedure as well as others. I have signed up for the Little Falls, NJ one and would like to hear from others that have had it done there.
I have been considering the lsl. What I don't understand is the hush hush about the cost. From what little info I got it is estimated around 4,000.00. And it is not permanent. That's a little costly for a temporary fix. And if it only takes about an hour to do the procedure without any anesthia, then why so expensive?
I had minde done at the Ft. Ld. office by Dr. Westine. It is a very busy place but it is one week later and I got the front stitches out today and was told I am healing very nicely. All in all I am very satisfied, if you want more details I will be happy to fill you in.
Regarding this....has anyone had any experience with the LSL in Beverly Hills? There are two doctors there and I WAS requesting Dr. Payman Simoni. When i called today to set up a consultation with him, they informed me that he will no longer be there after June. Red flags immediately went up! Does this mean that he's been fired because of bad practices...or is he leaving because he's displeased with that office. Of course, they would not comment. Now I'm afraid to go at all because I feel that the only other doctor is swamped and rushed.
Is there anyone out there who's had experience with this BH LSL Clinic...or Dr. Simoni??
I had the procedure and liposuction of my neck done on June 12, 2007 (Tuesday) at the Little Falls office by Dr. Karolak. I cancelled one appointment because I got cold feet but decided that I really wanted to have it done otherwise I wouldn't have gone there in the first place. I was very satisfied with Dr. Karolak's credentials and he was an absolute professional. He made me feel very secure. They gave me all the time I needed prior to the procedure because I was still scared and uncertain. However, after the valium and several small needles around the ears, I only felt pulling and tugging. I went home after the procedure and went back to work the following Tuesday. You must use the ice packs diligently and I did have to use the painkiller because of discomfort around the incisions. Also using the bacitracin diligently really helps also. It is almost 3 weeks since the procedure was done and I am so happy I did it. The only discomfort I have is from the healing and drying up of the incisions in the back of my ears so I still use the ointment. I don't even see any scars in the front of my ears and I have short hair. I am now applying warm compresses to the areas and the swelling around my ears is almost completely gone and I love the way I look and so does everyone else. I still look the same which is what I wanted but younger! I heartily recommend it. The staff at Little Falls were A-1.
I had the procedure done on 6/12/07 and checked out the credentials of the doctor who was doing it and also checked with the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey. There were no complains against any of the doctors or of Lifestyle Lift other than collection issues 3 years ago, which they say were resolved. If there were, they would not be in business. The doctor who performed my surgery is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon among other things. This is a legitimate business and if you don't want to use them, no one is forcing you to.
For Ava -
I had a very bad recovery experience.
They also kept telling me - it was normal.
I couldn't get back in to see the doctor despite
repeated calls to lifestyle with my concerns.
I had a fever, the swollen area was very hot to
touch.
I ended up with a major infection and other problems
that could and would have been minimized if the office
had put me in touch with the doctor that did my
procedure or had me come in to see one of the other
doctors (the doctor that did my procedure was only
in their office one day a week).
My stitches became imbedded in the swollen flesh.
It was ugly.
In hindsight - I would have gotten over my embarassment
at having the procedure and gone to my family doctor
right way, rather than waiting over a week to finally see the
lifestyle doctor. I could have saved myelf much misery.
Thanks for this "positive" report. I am scheduled to have this surgery done by a Dr. Honrado at Little Falls. He has a private practice so I thought he must be good.
I had THE LSL on Monday the 26th. I am experiencing unbelievable amount of pain brusing and swelling. I am concerned but the docotors keep telling me this is normal. READING some of the horror stories is making me worried sick, as I WOULD VERY much like some feedback on the procedures went bad and what I should look out for......
I believe mine is going bad & want to know any signs info etc/because obviously I was herded in there and now the results arent as they seem!~
I am new to this blog thing
But anyone with a procedure gone bad please post back with details...
Thank you so very much
I can empathize with your experience. Mine was
very very similar with swelling, bruising,
excess fluid and infection.
I put up with it for a week before the LSL doctor would
finally see me, (also telling me it was all normal and practically
calling me a baby) and by then I was really in trouble, the
stitching had become imbedded in the swollen flesh
and I had a bad infection from circulation being cut
off to some of the swollen skin.
and before someone from LSL posts here posing as a 'user'
I will tell you it was the Washington DC / VA office
I was at.
And NO the results are not worth it - why -
because 9 months later - there are NO visible results....
unless you want to count the scars I have around the ears.
HI,
I am scheduled with {edited} for Thursday. You are about a year out, how id it?
I feel like probably 99% of people are happy and the 1% is on the blogs. I am
a nurse, so this procedure, basically involving the muscles seems better. I am
54, I do not want to look 35, I just want to lose my mom's neck!!
How are you now??

These practioners or LSLs are obviously not real doctors; everyone that has a complaint should be reporting to the BBB and to the FBI.

I was going to the Little Falls office for a consultation.
Did you get the procedure done?
5/31/07
that was a very expensive hr. for results that didn't last.
6/13/07
i spent $2000 just having botox, restylane and juvaderm. the results only lasted a few months and had burns inside my lower lip for 2 weeks.
