wedge pillow or recliner

so, I've been reading some people's blogs and info. on Realself... what are y'all getting for your surgery? Are you going with the recliner or the wedge pillow? I'm not sure whether to buy the wedge pillow - wondering if my recliner is comfortable enough.

My living chairs did not recline so I bought a wedge pillow and also used 2 extra pillows on top of that. I'm sure sleeping in a recliner would have been more comfortable, but I think if you had to sit up or get up from the chair, you would still need help from someone. My husband had to pull me up by my arms to sit up from the bed so I could go to the bathroom. I had muscle repair, so It HURT to move. After 3 or 4 days, I was able to roll over and slide out of bed by myself. You just have make it as easy on yourself as you can the first few days.
