Vice grip Hip and tummy muscles

By 2carrie on 01 Jun 2012

I am 3 weeks post op of an extended line tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo on back/hips and breast augmentation. It s been very difficult but I am so absolutely happy. I wear a super tight compression garment at all times which helps with swelling and abdominal support. I still have problems with discomfort when I rise from a sitting position. It feels very tight and while I can straighten up immediately it comes with a painful tugging/pulling and tingling sensation. It goes away in several minutes. As I move about walking I sometimes get a tight vice like gripping sensation on my hips. This generally takes up to 5 minutes to pass and impedes my mobility somewhat. Has anyone else been through this? How long might this last? I am a super in shape 50 year old and I know I need to recover as properly as I need to before I take up hiking and golf again. My doc says I can begin swimming in another week though but this muscle gripping sensation scares me. Any suggestions for easing this? Do I just need to accept that it might be a few months before this condition subsides?
