Veteran TT's... about how many sizes did you go down after TT?

Mainly interested in pants/shorts sizes. My frame is probably a size 8 but I need a 14 to go around my waist because of belly. Just wondering about how many sizes women like me might go down after a tt?

I just rec'd this post. It is pretty funny! However, I am very happy for you! Since I read your post, just to let you know, I had a full tt with lipo hips, thighs -- 3 1/2 years ago and couldn't be happier. I was a size 14 and now wear a size small shirt, 0 - 2 slacks. REALLY! I am forever thankful to my surgeon. Of course, tt is not a magic bullet! I workout 4 - 5 times a week. I do cardio, nautilus and weights - and run 3-4 5k's in the summer. I live in Minnesota and it's too cold and snowy to run outside in the winter! Good luck with everything!

Hi !! thanks for responding and letting me know how you are !! Even though it was years ago! lmao. I noticed we are the same age too. I am only six weeks PO and I feel great ! I know exactly how you feel when you say youre gratefull forever to your surgeon. My PS changed my life forever in such a way most people wouldnt understand. I cant wait to go back to the gym. It still off limits . :( Butjust for another week.

Hi! You cracked me up - seriously. I haven't been on the site for a while since it has been years. You will have this new body and life goes on. This site and the people on it meant everything to me back then. I was scared to death of surgery and wouldn't have made it without all the information and support. Take it easy when you get back to the gym. You don't want to undo anything that's been done. I had the upper abs tied back together, as they were spread apart from both pregnancies. So, I took it very easy - no sit-ups, etc. for a while. I literally started out walking (not running) and wore my garment thing for a month or so when I worked out. I am very happy for you! It surely changed my life! :)

Sounds pretty normal... and in a couple of weeks you'll be on here encouraging others to "go for it!" :)

thank you for your positive words ladies, that's great news Onley that you're down 17lbs, hope that happens to me. Well i've been for my bloodworks today and paid in full so I suppose there's no backing out now for me either. My thoughts swing from excited to nervous in a millisecond.

I felt EXACTLY the same way Anmarie. But now six weeks later I have not regretted it for a second. Pre op I was so disgusted with my belly. I couldnt even look at it. Now..pre op, I cant stop looking at it !! lol And its crazy how you just want to show it to people !! lol

I am almost 8 weeks post op... I'm down about 17 pounds... but still swelling... still wear the same clothes I had, just look better in them. My pants are a bit loose around the waist, but that's ok with the swelling and incision for now. I was typically in an XL top just to hide the problem areas, now I can wear M very comfortably. I'm 5'4" and weight varies between 143-147 depending on the day. :) Don't back out... it is normal to feel nervous. Just don't over-think things... you are taking a risk every day driving in your car... if you've gotten to this point, you owe it to yourself to get it done! I think you'll be very happy you did... best wishes! I'll be sending you positive energy!

wowza Lori, just had a look at the calendar, yippee we're having surgery on the same day. we MUST stay in touch. I'm from the UK and going to Spain on vacation on Tuesday, I'm actually getting home the same day as my surgery. Are you feeling nervous. I'm actually bricking it at the moment. Got my pre op tomorrow and i'm so nervous. I'm actually nearly backing out, I hope they can reassure me that i'm doing the right thing

I have had LOTS of " backing out" moments!!! At least once a day!! But... I'm paid in full so I guess I'm going thru with it, lol

oooo these comments are so lovely to hear and so refreshing to know that most peeps go down a size or maybe 2. I am currently a size 10-12 and would so love to be able to wear a smaller size. My belly seems to be lower than a lot of pics I've seen on here, I've not really had a problem with a muffin top but further down nearer my lala region. i wear a size too big pants though so maybe this is why i don't have the dreaded muffin top. i am hoping and praying that when this is over with I'll be able to wear pants and not look 5 or 6 months pregnant. 9 days and counting (got a vacation in between too which helps with the anxiety)

Honey, youre only going to want to wear shorter tighter shirts after your surgery. No more long shirts in order to hide that belly !!

I was way heavier than I thought prior to my TT. I didn't weigh myself for the 3 years prior to it, just went by how I felt. Anywhohow, I am down 12 lbs and was a size 8 or 6 before and now find size 4 is a bit big.

I went down almost 10lbs initially and was a size 14 now down to a size 10 and am 6 months post-op. I was wearing larger waists but had baggy legs but no more! I just recently donated 21 pairs of pants but hanging on to some because it's trickier now to find the right fit since I still have some swelling.

I held out as long as I could before I couldn't take the oversized underwear and pants that were falling down or required a tight belt just to stay up. The bunching crotch is the best, especially when you're sitting or at work...well, anywhere...endured a few odd looks.

Good luck!

I was a size 10 pre op and now in a size 4/6 petite depending on the clothes. Each person is different though.

I'm 6 weeks post op today and I too had to wear a size 12 because of my muffin top. I am now down to a size 8 and loving it!

Holy cow, that's awesome!!! I am a size 14 and just praying to be down to a 10 after this. Thanks for your response. Much more hopeful now :)

I'm a 14 too and would love a size 10.. I'm scheduled for 6/9 and just bought a ton of yoga clothes to wear during my recovery.. Are you getting lipo too ? I'm getting my inner thighs, chunky arms & chin done. Nervous about missing so much work but so excited.. Good luck to you!

I was originally scheduled for arms and neck, too, but then decided that it would be too much for me at one time. I am getting lipo on my hip rolls (flanks). I am planning on getting my neck and arms done about a year from now after I save up some more $$$. I am scheduled 6/21. Got any pics to share?

Never took pics of my arms & neck but my PS did. Double chin is totally gone but for me was extremely painful!!?PS said that is more uncommon, that most have little to no neck pain. As for arms, took fat from behind, I wanted the fat from the front .. But he knows best.. How are you feeling? I know you are on wk #1
