Hello ladies. I am a married woman soon to be 30 years old. I have two children (9yr old boy & 3 yr old girl). After having my girl I gained a lot of weight, mostly on my tummy. I've been working out but its so hard to tone my stomach. I'm 5' 1" and 145lbs. I always wanted a breast enhancement but now that I had two children I really need a boob job. I breast fed both my kids and it changed my breast. So now I think its worth the money and time for a change. So I went to a surgeon for a consultation for a breast augmentation. When the doc looked at me he notice that I have umbilical hernia. This was a shock for me because my doctor never said anything to me all the times I got checked. I went to two other surgeons and they all said the same thing to me. They also recommended that I get a tummy tuck since I have to repair my hernia. I think it makes sense too because I can knock out everything at once with being on the same anesthesia. I would love to have a tummy tuck because I miss wearing bikinis and having a flat stomach. I really hate wearing tankinis and cover ups ugh...Anyways my husband has been very supportive and is willing on paying for the whole surgery. But my husband thinks that I don't need a tummy tuck he thinks that I can continue working out and I will have a firmer stomach. I disagree with him but I am scared of having a tummy tuck for several reasons. I had both my babies natural and I only have a few stretch marks below my belly button. So I'm worried about having a big scar from the tummy tuck. If any of you ladies had doubts about having the scar can you please share your story with me?

I dont mind paying for the surgery either. Just wish I would have know about the hernia repair and free tummy tuck. That would have been sweet. Someone also recommended rent a center, for the recliner. You pay 20 bucks a week and they deliver and pick it up. So keep this as an option. And there is also a sticky on what to buy before you have surgery on the community here. Best of luck and looking forward to seeing your before and afters

Good luck, I am going in on the 26th, but I am not having a TT, "only" breast lift and augmentation and liposuction

Super excited and nervous. I paid in full for my mommy makeover and I go into to surgery next week on April 24th. I spoke to my surgeon and he told me my scar will be low enough to hide with a bikini. I need to ask him about the pain pump I see everyone talking about. I am worried about the recovery time. I would like to have recliner for me to sit in but I'm spending enough money already. Hopefully big pillows will help. Tomorrow I plan on buying a button up pj shirt. Can you ladies give me any advice on what to have handy for after the surgery. Thanks it will be much appreciated. BTW I'm going to post my before pics.

Some insurances will pay for a tummy tuck if you have to have a herna repair. Check with your insurance.

Unfortunately I am self employed and don't have health insurance. But it has to be done so I don't mind paying for the surgery.
