May Tummy Tuckers Check In Here!
By Angiemcc on 28 Mar 2011
Let's talk about our May tummy tucks here! What are your biggest hopes and fears surrounding your upcoming surgery?

Hi! Just have to post - I'm scheduled for May 3!!! I'm so excited. I am 41, was a chubby kid, obese teen and young adult, with 340 as my top weight. Have been below 200 for a couple of years now, am married, two little boys, and have been wanting to do this for a few years now. I finally decided that I deserve spending the money on ME rather than investing, putting it into the house, the kids college fund, yadda yadda. I have had a muffin top since I was 13 years old (no exaggeration) and cannot really believe that it can really go away. I'm laughing, though, when I think about how after I get this tummy taken care of that I'll just start obesessing about the next area that must be taken care of! Don't want to get to be a ps addict. (I could SO go there) So, tummy may 3, maybe arms boobs in the fall, and by then I'm sure I'll just hate how my thighs look compared to the rest of me! Thrilled to be part of this community and thankful for all the information I've obtained from all of you!
So here is the plan - First, I'm not a candidate to have multiple procedures at one time. 2-4 hours is the max that any PS I consulted with recommended that I stay in surgery. Next, I have to get up and moving as quickly as possible. Finally, I'm going to give myself a low weight heparin shot one a day for a week following surgery, along with wearing compression stockings on my legs. The idea, though, is to move move move as much as possible.
So I'll be having the surgery at the doctor's surgical center, where he tells me I should get discharged about two hours after surgery is completed, so I'll be moving right away. I have a recliner in my bedroom already, so I'll just camp out up there for a couple of days but push myself to participate in family life as much as possible (two kids 4 and 7 so I plan to move around as I can)
I went through this in a similar way with the second c-section. The doc didn't have me on a pain pump just got through the first week of recovery with regular vicodin (I think) then prescription advil. Also, the nurses were brutal to me (lol) making me get my big butt up out of bed a few hours after the c-section. Not fun, but I understood why.
I'm happy to share any other info or experiences about this. Also curious what your plans are?
Im glad I have this site I love all the support. You get your TT before me , when you're getting your TT I will be at my pre op =). Goodluck & stay positive! I am verrry nervous too you are not alone
I have to have at least 600cc removed from each breast, I think I am a 38 DDD, but spill out of those bras so probably larger, whats the next size, lol! I've never been fitted, so probably wearing wrong size. I guess my concern is that they take too much or not enough. I would love to be a full D, hope this is possible with that much removed. I plan on loosing weight and would hate if I am a "c" and then become a "b"! Any thoughts on this???
