Tummy Tuck w/o drains

Has anyone received a tummy tuck without drains? I was wondering how that worked for you. My Dr. offers it, but it seems like most of the pictures I see on here are women with drains...is it more risky since you can't monitor how much fluid is draining? Thanks, Kristen

Hi Kristen,

There are women on RealSelf who've had drainless tummy tucks. I think they generally use a quilting suture to avoid the drains. Here's what some doctors have to say about tummy tucks with drains and without. Hope this helps!
