Tummy tuck with side bulges

I had a tummy tuck 10 months ago. I am left with side bulges/possible dog ears around my hip area. My surgeon thinks the tummy tuck was completely successful and that the bulges are simply due to my weight (5"5 150lbs, I haven't gained since surgery) and that I will have to pay for any corrections done. I have pictures but prefer not to display them publicly. Advice is appreciated.
I think this is a common side effect of tummy tucks. Having a tummy tuck with liposuction is one way to circumvent this problem. Unfortunately, what your surgeon is saying sounds reasonable to me. Maybe some doctors will weigh in on this?
