Tummy tuck without muscle tightening

Hello, I've lost 154lbs, I'm looking at having a tummy tuck without the muscle tightening. I'll never be the woman that can wear a bikini... but I have a lot of extra skin that I'd like to have removed. I'm looking for any personal experience or input. Part of my concern is recovery.

Congrats on the weight loss!!! You rock.

Here's a question someone else asked about your very concern and doctor answers for you. It looks like it is possible and that some people get a great result. Have you scheduled a consultation with any surgeons yet?

Hi, I have had a consult, and the Dr said he could do it either way. I'd just like a crystal ball to see the result!

Iklk, If you find that crystal ball, could I borrow it! Lol! I know what you mean, I know I would rather have the full tt than the mini, but like you, I'm worried about the recovery time. I can take about 17 days off but much more is a stretch. I stand all day and thats what worries me about going back.

Have you had weight loss surgery?
I can take about 2 weeks off but I have a desk job. I read about people walking hunched over for 3 weeks and that part worries me too! How far are you in your process?

No, no big weight loss, just 2 children and aging has left me with a belly!
Are you telling the people you work with? I'm not so it's going to be hard for me to go back too soon.
I'm really concerned about. Since I'm on my feet all day.
I'm also worried about the scar, I want it as low as possible. I'll seen a lot of pics where you can see it over the top of your low jeans. It's one thing to think about hiding it in a swim suit, but I don't want it to show in my jeans.

I know these are all things I will talk to the doc about, but those are some of my concerns, other than the major things like waking up after!

Personally I can say that if I had not had the full tummy tuck with muscle tightening I never would of had the results I do. Yes it hurts more but at two weeks I was standing up straight. Now I would swell by mid day and my back was sore but I could stand up. My muscle tightening gave me the hour glass shape. Love it!

Hi
I had booked tt with muscle tightening. On pre op consultation dr said I needed extended TT to get best results around saddlebaggy hips. I had op on Wed & afterwards he told me that he did not do any muscle tightening as muscles are in good condition but had lots of baggy skin over them. Haven't seen tummy without bandage yet, will do so on Tues.
