Tummy Tuck with Lipo in Houston

Hi Kellyg41378,I was wondering if you ended up going w/Dr Steely & if so how u liked it? My sister used him for her mini tuck & really liked him,however Im looking to have a "mommy makeover",breast,lipo,tummy tuck....thanks for the info

I am 9 days post-op. I had full tummy tuck, breast implants and lipo of hips and flanks. I went on 4 consults before making a decision on my surgeon. Actually, she was the third and I knew she was the one the minute she walked in the room. Had my procedure done at The Woman's Hospital and the staff reassured the morning of that I could not have picked a better plastic surgeon. Now, I do understand that it has only been 9 days but the results are absolutely amazing! I would definitely look into meeting with her! She gave me the most natural looking boobs and the prettiest belly button I long for in years!!! Location of my Doctors office was not really high on my "important" list when I was making my decision. I agree with Libby that when you find the right Doc you will know it. It is important to choose someone who you are very comfortable with. No matter what part of town. The only benefit I can see (as far as someone who is close to you) would be the ride home and the follow-up appointments. I was willing to travel to California to have my procedure before I learned there were so many qualified surgeons right here in Houston!! It is a big decision and I wish you the best of luck.

Today is 5 weeks post op for me. Just had my second massage this morning. I totally recommend finding a Doc who utilizes massage as part of their post op recovery/healing care. It helps a lot with the swelling.

I don't know where in Houston you are, but I have just consulted with 5 different docs and the one I chose who I absolutely love has offices in The Woodlands, Katy and The Med Center. Dr. Sugene Kim with SGK Plastic Surgery is her name and she is on here and answers questions. I have also heard that Dr. Mentz and Dr. Patronella are good and they are in Houston. Dr. Straka is also great I have heard and he is in Kingwood. Good luck to you. I went to 5 consults before I found the "one" and feel that when you have found the right doctor you will know it. I am scheduled for 4/28 and am so excited!

I know of other docs also so if you reply with what area of Houston you are, I may be able to give you some other recommendations.

I think Dr. Steely is GREAT!! Seeing him for a consult is a good decision. I am THRILLED with my results thus far. Can't wait to see final results. I know the nervous/excited feeling you are talking about. One day very soon you will wake up and not be dreaming about your new body because you will have it. Hi Kelly. The PS I used in Houston was Doctor S. He is fabulous. I love him. His Gals in the office are just as amazing. You will be dealing with them too. There are lots of post op apts and one pre op apt. Plus you will have many questions after your procedure. You want to feel comfortable calling them as often as is necessary. I am currently 25 days post op. I had lipo and TT. So far so good. My swelling is not completely gone but I'm getting better each day. You MUST let your Mother come and help you for the entire first week. You will need her. When you research and see all these women saying the recovery is difficult and this surgery is "major", take them seriously. I knew it would be bad but could not have dreamed it would be this difficult. I don't know what I would have done without the constant pampering and care my Husband provided. I would say you will be much better the second week but hopefully you don't have to go to work. Basically, have someone with you the first 5-7 days and your recovery will be much easier. The worst part of the whole procedure is the drain. Some PS use two. I only had one. THANK GOD!!! The day Doc S removed my drain was a happy happy day. I have waited 21 years to have this procedure. I'm soooooo happy I finally did it. You will be too. Good luck to you.

Hi Kellyg. I'm in the northeast so I can't receommend any doctor. I think you can check on this website for recommendations. That is how I found one of the doctors I consulted with before making my choice.

If you read some of the posts here you'll get a good feel for what you will and won't be able to do post op.
