Tummy Tuck in 5 Days! I am so nervous

By savorlifejoy2012 on 12 Sep 2012

Hello everyone!   I have to say that I am excited to have found this site! It offers great tips and everyone's experience is very helpful in getting my mind wrapped around the process. I believe I am going to get through my surgery just fine knowing that I have a resource to refer back to on what to expect and how to maybe deal with it keeping in mind that everyone's experience is different.   I am 32 years old and a wife and mother of 2 boys. Unfortunately, I had to have a TAH and BSO at 28 years and now I am ready for the next step in my life of getting my body back. When I had my boys, i never dreamed that I would deal with a stomach that just will not go away. I am scheduled for my Tummy Tuck with Lipo on my hip in 5 days (September 17th) and I am excited but I am so nervous. I feel that I may have been ambitious in my expectations of having this nice flat stomach after 3 months. After reading for several hours on this site, I now know that this will be a process that is painful and uncomfortable but well worth it. I will post regularly on the site and Kimmers, I want to compliment you on the excellent advise and all of the very helpful information you've posted regarding tummy tuck. I endured the pain of a hysterectomy so I know I will get through this just fine.

Well I am 6 days postop and feeling better. The first 3 days were the worst because of the pain butbonce i got it undercontrol, i have been much better. I am extremely satisfied with the results and cannot wait until I get my drain out. I am excited and feeling stronger every day. I must say the healing process is quite painful the first 72 hours (for me anyway) but I have a great surgeon! My tummy looks good, my incision is awesome, my belly button is awesome, and I have no dog ears which is more than awesome!
