Tummy Tuck and Breast Augmentation: Charleston, WV

I have been overweight my entire life. I am now 27, no kids. After a 100 lbs weightloss-despite diet and exercise-my body will just not recover. And I refuse to spend the rest of my life not feeling beautiful and having all this extra skin (which literally prevents me from living a confident, happy life). I have loose skin under my arms, around my abdomen, and upper thighs. My breasts are also deflated. My goal is to get: 1. Tummy Tuck 2. Augmentation 3. Possible Under Arm and Thigh Lift Due to finances I may have to get them seperately but I am hoping to start out with a Mommy Makeover-Tummy Tuck and Augmentation. Any thoughts?

Okay so I went the surgeon's office-based on a review I found on here-only to go, get undressed and when the doctor came in-he said they no longer do cosmetic surgeries because they've been sued too much. WHAT IN THE WORLD? Needless to say this was a strange, embaressing experience and honestly I just had to laugh about it. I don't know what to do-LOL. But, I am planning now to go out of town for surgery because every other surgeon in the area has multiple bad reviews on health records and vitals. Guess there is nothing else to do but research a doctor and book at out of town surgery.

OMG that is crazy.  So why did they even book the appointment for you?  They could have at least called you to tell you this over the phone before you trucked in to the office.

Keep searching and you will find a good one.

Yes the expense is great and I totally understand that:)

I am not the expert in regards to the implants but between our doctors and patients they will provide great advice.

Thank you for that link. I am hoping to get the augmentation and the tummy tuck at once and then go for the arm and thigh lift.

Finanaces are limited and since the surgery has to be paid up front-I may have to even do the augmentation and tummy tuck seperately-as I think they can run between (4-6 augment and 5-8 for the tummy tuck) though sometimes they bundle them if done at once.

I am hoping to do between 550-650 cc's. Is that too big ? I weight 175 lbs (after 100 lbs weight loss) so, it would fit my frame. What's better saline or silicone? Any thoughts? Silicone kind of scares me.

What you are talking about is basically a mommy makeover. I just had one. Mine included augmentation and lift, tummy tuck, muscle repair and lipo of the flanks (he did some, not a lot he could do but it was included). I researched for PS's who specialized in mommy makeovers. As far as your sizing goes, it depends on a lot of factors. How tall are you? The PS also measures your breast width diameter and that is called (BWD) and is how the charts with implants show you sizing. Once you ahve your BWD you can determine which implant sizes would be eliminated immediately and where your range is. Typically, they don't want you to go more than .5-1 cm above or beneath your BWD measurement. THe various profiles of implants also affect your selection, and they are divided between moderate/low, mid range or mod plus, high profile and then ultra high profile. THe higher the profile, the more volume at smaller BWD sizes there is. I know this is confusing, but your PS should be able to explain a lot in consults, and the links and breast implant forum members as well. I got a cash discount, as well as a multiple procedure discount for my MM, plus, doing them together allowed me to have only one anesthesia and one surgery fee. As far as total price, that varies a lot by geographic area. I know some people used care credit or zero interest credit cards to help pay. THere are options, but I didn't want to do that. Best of luck while you research and congrats on the weight loss!! Oh, I am 3 weeks out. I got 550 cc HP. I am 5'3" with a BWD of 14 and a rib cage of 33" (pre TT, now it is more often measuring 35-36 at night)

Cyndi, I am scheduled to have BL, aug and TT with lipo of flanks on March 6th. I would love some advice. Do you have young children? How are you feeling? I am pretty terrified!!

Go into it with help lined up and be prepared for pain. Kimmers list of what to expect is awesome. To be honest, while the BA/BL was tight and annoying, the bulk of my discomfort came from bloat, swelling and the tightness of the TT. I was very slow moving, as well. When I had to cough which was rare thankfully, I did like the nurse showed me and criss crossed my arms over the compression garment squeezing together. I still do that if I sneeze. Probably don't have to anymore, but it sure did help then. I followed all my PS's instructions completely, and solely. YOu'll read a lot of conflicting advice from others and their PS's. Go with what yours says, he's the one who knows exactly what he did with you and what is best for your recovery. I have 3 young grandkids who are over regularly, one lives here and another I typically take care of two days a week. I lined up help for this because I could not lift her. She loves me to carry her, but I just couldn't until last week when I was cleared. So, I held hands with her instead and let her sit beside me or on my lap. That worked well, so all I really needed was help getting her in and out of the car seat. The first week was NYDay so I didn't have to take her to preschool, and had multiple people here playing with her. THat was day one post op for me so I pretty much slept. I loved my pillow cocoon because I am not a back sleeper. I got a wedge pillow off amazon, and then a few cheap pillows from walmart. I put the wedge on the bed, and leaned a memory foam pillow against it and that's what I laid on. Puts you about at a recliner angle kind of. Then, two pillows under my knees and one each under my arms next to the wedge. It worked fairly well until I was able to switch to side sleeping. Your breasts will probably feel super hard/high/tight in the morning, but it goes away. Fairly quickly. Mine aren't realy like that anymore, but they are pretty tender/sensitive as is my tummy where. Upper abs. I had literally no recovery effects from the lipo that I could see or feel except a couple small bruises that were gone in a couple of days. I attribute part of that to religiously taking arnica and bromelain, but who knows. I do know he said there wasn't much lipo to be done because that wasn't where most of my fat was stored. By about day 9-10 I felt far better. I didn't start going regularly until day 6-7 and that was absolutely miserable. I used a heating pad for my back, and it still gets sore now throughout the day but nowhere like that first week or so. Let others help, let your house get messy, and don't over do. If you have any other questions, let me know. I'm happy to try to help by letting you know my experiences and mistakes, etc. Don't be terrified, its a long recovery but the BA/BL IMO were well worth doing at the same time. They have not made my TT recovery worse at all, and because of the TT I think the recovery there is a lot less noticeable. The super high/hard/tight feeling in breasts for me didn't last too long. It got much more comfortable fairly quickly. Appearance wise though, they still look fairly high and tight. My PS won't allow massage, because he doesn't want pressure on the vertical incisions while they heal, but each PS will be different. Take deep breaths, and for sure use your muscle relaxers after. Those helped me a lot with all the tightness AND my back.
