Dr says I need muscle repair but not lipo and my healing should go a little faster without lipo! Is that the case? I have good contour under the flap of yuck lmao he said that it looks like fat but its not so no need for the lipo! 3 drs have said the same thing. Just wondering how different healing is with and without lipo?

I had tummy tuck with muscle repair on sept 4. I also had a boob reduction and lift. No lipo at all. Dr said I didn't need it. I love my results far exceeded my expectations. Also, I had very minimal discomfort. I took pain pills for 2 days which did nothing. I walked alot, and juiced!!!

I had no lipo. I didn't need it, and as stated below, on thinner people it can leave dimply results. If you want to read about my recovery you can read my review. I also had the drainless procedure.

I did not have any lipo (except a tiny bit on flanks). I also have some fat on the belly, but must say that it suits the rest of my body. I would not have a totally fat-free belly with the rest of my body (see my pics, -quite a lot fat there!). Now I think it looks quite normal, even flatter than I expected. I think our dr.'s are right, -the body undergoes quite a trauma with the TT, and one should think that the absense of Lipo would be benefitial for the healing?

TT Mr and no lipo here too. Doc said I didn't need it. Which was great, I wasn't up to the pain and it seems some of the thinner ladies aren't happy with it. I think I'm doing really well 4dpo. Was awake all yesterday and feel mentally alert.

I had a full TT with muscle repair and no lipo. I had no pain whatsoever. The swelling is just ridiculous but I guess that's my trade off for having no pain. ;)

I had tt, mr and no lipo months ago. Recovery was fairly easy, I thought. Lady who had it done the same time as me, with the lipo, was in a lot more pain. I chose not to have lipo and my doc said I was borderline to needing it or not. I am of the belief that less is more and being close to 50, didn't think I needed a body like a 20 year old. I am very happy with my results. I even just bought a bikini and am going to wear it in 2 weeks on a mini-holiday!

I had just tt and mr, no lipo. I'm only 4 days post op so I don't have much feedback for now :)

My PS said I didn't need lipo but I don't think he does lipo with a TT, something about blood flow. If given the choice, I probably would have gotten it, I think I would have a better contour. It does seem that most people get it with their tt and mr.

I had the same question - because I had different opinions from different dr's I consulted. My PS I am using says I don't need lipo and I have actually questioned it too - because so many seem to have it. I will be asking him again at the pre-op to "make sure" because no way in he*& do I want to do this all again... Thanks for bringing this up!

I have TT with MR, no lipo in the stomach. But my PS recommended a little lipo in my backside, lower back and hip. He just thought that would make me look a little more symmetrical. I had a high backside. Now PO I am happy with it, but what is sore is the lipo. Trust your doctor. You will be happy with your results.

I just had my TT this past Wednesday, may 29. I repeatedly asked my ps to make sure I didn't need lipo...I told him I didn't want to have to repeat the surgery again. He reassured me again that I didn't need the lipo. He actually said I should trust him b/c that would mean more money for him if I added the lipo, which makes sense. After the surgery he said he felt it is really going to look good...I get to remove the bandages tomorrow, so I will hopefully be able to notice a difference. I have also researched a lot, and if you have lipo, your recovery is a lot harder! I have done ok with this surgery (I had previously had 2 c sections and did well with them too). I'm still not in too much pain. Worst thing about the entire surgery is the drain sites, they do hurt when they get pulled a little. Good luck with your surgery!!
