TT with lipo of flanks - was your swelling bad at 6 weeks??

I'm having a tt in June and a wedding to attend near the end of July, which would make me 6 weeks post op at that point.  I'm contemplating having lipo on my flanks at the same time, but am worried that the swelling will be worse and it's going to defeat the purpose of looking 'good' at the wedding.  What is your experience like at the 6 weeks mark if you've had a tt with muscle repair and lipo to the flanks.  Is it really worth it??

I had a TT and lipo to the back and flanks. At six weeks out I looked good! I was still feeling tired, but I looked good in clothes. I'm at six months now and have a better shape than at six weeks when I was still really swollen, but not a huge difference. It is REALLY worth it! You will look wonderful for your wedding! I say go for it.

I think you need to think about the severity of the tt- are you just removing skin or is there more tissue? For me , the lipo on the flanks has caused minimal swelling but my tummy tuck continues to plague me with things like swelling and other fun stuff. If it's a more severe tt the drains will be in longer than if it's not so severe.... I'd talk to your ps and just understand how severe the tt is. But yeah , a good compression garment helps a lot!!!

I still have swelling at 7 weeks. Mostly lower ab, not much on the flanks (had lipo). Nothing a good compression garment doesn't help! You might be lucky, but from what I have read and heard, it can take up to a year for the swelling to take a more permanent leave :)
