best treatment for smoker lines

I have never smoked but have the vertical lines above upper lines..what is the best treatment? laser or filler...thanks

hi widget - great question

Doctors on RealSelf appear to favor fillers for lip lines or Botox

However, Dr. Groff offers an explanation that CO2 lasers can work on vertical lines

Here Dr. Westreich also references: "Laser resurfacing (Fraxel included) or dermabrasion is often needed with deeper lines to help the wrinkles flatten more completely. This is important for many patients that have problems with lipstick bleeding into these lines."
