How to treat bruising after Juvederm in tear troughs?

I had juvederm ultra put under my eyes yesterday. The one eye looks slightly crepey still. It is also bruised in the area that it looks crepey. How should this be treated? Ice? Warm compresses? Is this an instance of not enough filler being put in? I am using Vitamin K for the bruising. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Marie Lyn, Sorry to hear about your bruising after your injections. It happens to the best of us. Firstly, think up some great excuses such as "a weight fell on my face during BootCamp this morning", or "my face hit the steering wheel when my brand new car was rear-ended yesterday", etc. Next, for the first 48 hours ice compresses help, sleep with your head elevated on 2 to 3 pillows, and avoid straining (as in BootCamp or exercise). After 48 hours, warm compresses for 2 to 3 days will help. Arnica and Vit K help before the fact, some find them useful after. Low lighting situations, make-up, and a good pair of dark sunglasses should get you through. Tincture of Time is the best remedy, but you won't be able to find it in the drug store. As for the crepiness, let us know if it is still there next week. I hope that your bruising resolves quickly and that your result is excellent. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
