Also try: facial rejuvenation, lift sagging skin, loose skin, non surgical, sagging, sagging skin, skin tightening, Thermage, TITAN
My derm suggested Titan for my face skin. My friends have all done thermage.
Anyone have an opinion if titan is better than thermage? My doctor said titan will give more even results. confused in Connecticut! Anna

I just had Titan done on my entire face. I'm 44 and my skin is not super lax but enough that I've had botox and restylane and decided to try this as a hopefully longer term result than restylane. In reviews I've read, many of the people seem as if they are expecting immediate results and are unhappy. From what I've been told the collagen has to "repair" before the results are visible and it could take up to 6 months to see results. Also, the Titan uses light energy and Thermage is electrical. There is supposed to be more control with the Titan and it is not as hot, I'm told. It was not bad for the most part but there were places on my face that felt like unbearably intense burning heat. I didn't have any blistering, lumps or anything to speak of (even when it got really really hot) except for slight redness that was completely gone in a couple of hours. I did feel a tightness to my skin right after the procedure but that was probably just my skin reacting to the "trauma" per se. So, if I remember, I will try to post my results for others that are interested.

I did Titan in 2003 and commented on Titan. Three + years later.... where's that collagen, baby ???? I got nothing out of it. I should have taken the money and put it towards a face lift, It was an expesive bit of nothing.

would you consider now trying thermage or are you stuck on getting surgery? I am thinking about it.

Well, I am back to tell you that Titan has done absolutely nothing so don't waste your money on it! Plus it hurt so why pay for something that hurts and does not live up to it's claim?
My dermatolgist's office has been psycho calling my house offering all these "great" deals since she really "likes" me. Well I'm onto her game now after going elsewhere and getting the same procedures for way less money and better results. It's nasty and competitive out there and I wish there was a way we could all know exactly what we're getting, exactly how much we're getting and that the price is in order. You know, sort of like when you buy a dozen eggs. You know for sure that there are 12 eggs in the carton, that those dozen eggs are about 2 bucks and that you are definitely getting eggs for your money and if you should decide to go down the street to buy your eggs, you will still pay about 2 bucks a dozen and you will still definitely be getting eggs. Odd analogy, I know, but the best I could think of off the top of my head.
Anyway, TITAN IS A RIP-OFF AND DOES NOTHING!

I am a 43 female. I went in for my first botox treatment and was encouraged to try the Thermage and a Photofacial (IPL), so I did. I was shocked by the price, but the brochure had wonderful before and after pics, so I figured if it was that expensive it HAD to work. I was ecstatic with the botox results. Immdiately after and in the following 2 weeks my skin did appear significantly tighter and radiant - better than I had seen it in years, but I attribute that more to the photofacial or possibly the trauma of the thermage treatment. I will say the thermage did eliminate my jowels. When you consider that the total average cost for a face lift is $9500, which produces faster and more permanent results and corrects other issues simultaneously (sagging neck, bags under the eyes, folds around the mouth...) I Wish I had not been so impulsive and desperate. I wish I would have done my research because I would have opted to put the money into my 'face lift fund'. Oh, and it did hurt, but getting rid of those awful jowels made it well worth the pain. The $2500 hurt more than the burning...

Just had my first titan treatment today. After reading the comments I really don't think I am going to continue. I am getting 4 treatment for 2700, and that is a lot of money for something that doesn't work. My question, did anyone see any improvements with titan and how many treatments did they have before they say the improvement.

If any treatment providers care enough to read these forums, I offer this advice, from one sales person to another, be careful with the expectations you set with your clients. I was promised face lift results with Thermage, but only saw improvement in my jowel area. While I still would have paid the $2500 to get rid of my jowels, I an disappointed that the other promises of tightened skin under the chin and other areas still are not visible 4 months later. Of course, every time I walk into the spa where I received the treatment, the girls who work there fall all over themselves with compliments on how the Thermage is working and how much better I continue to look every time they see me, but I know that they are just doing their jobs. I can clearly see myself in the mirror and know that the only improvement has been in my jowels. I still think the Thermage was worth it for that reason.
I only recently heard about Titan, so I was curious, that is why I am here. Still not hearing much good about it other than it doesn't hurt as much. The Thermage WAS painful, but not unbearable. Certain areas did hurt more than others, almost as if hitting a nerve. But worth it, still.
I have posted two honest comments about my experience with Thermage. I have tried not to let the emotions of being angry and disappointed get in the way of reporting the truth. I did see results, just not at the lvl I was promised... I still say, go for the full-on face lift if you're going to spend the money.

I had thermage done ot my face August 08, not sure at this point if anything changed as i was told it would, $3,000 later, I do not fore see any improvement over the "next 6 months as they say it could take. Although it has not been that mong yet but i'am very doubtful, Plus the pain was to much, they do offer pain meds but have to drive home. They say non-invasive, but non-invasive does not work i would rather at this point have a face lift and get it over with at once, then 6 session that some of these take, it is the same money by the end.
