Tips to maintain teeth whitening results?

Posted 11 Feb 2007

Just had teeth whitening. I love my new white smile. The dentist offered some tips for keeping the teeth white but none seemed that innovative. Anyone who's had laser whitening found something that keeps the teeth looking white for long periods of time. Don't have the money to do this every year!

I'm using Listerine whitening and crest tooth paste... my teeth look good even if it passed like 6 months. Also, you should not drink colored drinks like Pepsi, Fanta and co, coffee, not smoking.

Some teeth whitening solutions only cost around $40 and the gel can last for 2 years, $20 a year isn't bad...

sammiefield - curious why you'd recommend this kit. It's not really free

If you are satisfied with our product, then do nothing and the Company will bill you $97.97 for your initial order, and enroll you in our "Unlimited IllumiBrite" club for free. As a member of the "Unlimited IllumiBrite" club, you will never be automatically billed again, but you will be able at your request to order additional Illumibrite teeth whitening kits (which are composed of 2 pens, 2 trays, 1 mini LED accelerator light, a shade guide, color instructions and a 30 day supply of gel (2 syringes) for just the cost of express shipping ($19.97 for continental US shipping or $29.97 for international or non-continental US shipping)

If you really want your laser whitening effects to stay profound for a long time- then consider your teeth like a white t-shirt. Anything that you wouldn't want staining a white t-shirt don't subject your teeth too. Also, make sure you're having a cleaning at least 2x per year and this will help as well.

Well you could always try out some of the new products out there. I came across a teeth-whitening kit free trial just the other day and it worked great, both for causing whiteness and for maintaining it.

Here's the site where I applied, not sure if it's still available, but go give it a try: www.illumi-brite.com/

I recommend the following to maintain your new BriteSmile: Brush your teeth three to four times daily, or after each meal; floss daily. Use a whitening toothpaste and a soft bristle toothbrush. Visit your dentist for regular cleanings and check-ups (recommendation: every 6 months) ---------------- Aaren

I have never had "laser" whitening. I use the whitening gel by Dr. Collins, and I maintain my white teeth with Dr. Collins "All White" toothpaste. I got it as a freebie when I ordered the gel a long time ago, and fell in love with it. I drink alot of coffee and tea, this works well for me. My teeth are super white :) Hope this helps!
After whitening treatments specifically in-office treatments the teeth are more susceptible to taking on stain within 48 hours after the procedure. During this time I recommend that our patient do not eat or drink anything that may stain a white t-shirt. As far as maintenance goes I like the ampoules in addition to the whitening trays which can be use to touch up after the procedure. With any of the procedures at-home or professional it is very important to be supervised by a dentist, there is a point of saturation in which teeth will no longer whiten and your dentist can determine if you are at that point.

Hi, For anyone who would like to try something unique to help keep your teeth whiter you might try BriteShots. It is not a whitener, but is a peppermint teeth rinse to help prevent teeth stains. I use it after coffee, tea, etc.

The best thing is Gosmile which is what most movie stars use. You'll want the daily ampoules and brush on one ampoule daily and it will keep your teeth white.

Isn' that a bit expensive? If you mean the B1 Whitening System that costs at least 50 dollars for 10 days,it means you'll need about 150 dollars for a month?? You'de better do a tray gel once in a while.
