I Don't Tip my Hairstylist/salon Owner Because of Late, He Gives Attitude. He Seems to Get Mad Because I Don't Tip Him. Tip Him?

I've been with my stylist for about 20 yrs. He's really (really!) good, and also really expensive (just wash/set = $60, no conditioner). Conditioner = $20, Touch-up perm (includes wash/set) = $95, etc. I can easily spend 3-4 hours in the salon just for a wash/set! He owns the salon and has 3 other stylists who rent chairs. I almost never tip him. I don't feel he deserves a tip partly because he's expensive, it takes so long, and he really gives attitude (not just to me). Am I wrong? Tip him?
