Any thoughts on good surgeons in Canada? Looking in Vancouver/Toronto area.. Dr. Buonassisi or Dr. Smith?

The thing is I will be living in Saskatchewan, so I would like to make sure the trip is worth it :) I'm leaning towards Vancouver (Dr. Buonassisi seems to be quite reputable) as I can't really find anywhere closer regardless. I have finally made the decision to get the rhinoplasty done (hooray!) although it will be another year before I do. But it never hurts to start researching early! Any feedback is appreciated :)

I just had my surgery, i'm 7 days post op. I went with Dr Buonassisi and I couldn't be happier. He's really great. Book some consultations and ask around. I liked Dr B because the results look natural (from what I can tell) and he's really knowledgeable and definitely put me at ease. Before I went in for my surgery he told me that Rhino is his most favourite procedure to perform, so trust that if you pick him you'll be in good hands!! Good luck!!:) If you want to check out my video diary its on youtube:

I just stumbled across your question and wanted to comment. I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Buonassisi about 2 months ago and I found him to be very knowledgeable and professional and am thrilled with my results. Good luck with your research and hope this helps:)

Thank you so much! I haven't looked into him at all! I will definitely do so. I was also considering the Calgary area - Dr. Zachary, as I have heard wonderful reviews on her and she would be within driving range (as opposed to flying!) There are just so many to choose from.. lots of research to be done! Thanks for your input :) Glad you had such a positive experience!

Have you considered Dr. Richard Rival? He did my septo/rhinoplasty 3 wks ago on July 17 and so far I am thrilled with the results. I believe he does surgeries in 3 locations: St. Micheal's hospital, and private clinic in Toronto (I forgot the name but that's where I had my surgery), Southlake hospital in Newmarket (30 min north of Toronto). Wishing all the best with your rhinoplasty journey!
