I am soooooooooooooo glad I found this board!  I had a BR and TT on 1/16/13 so I'm 9.5 weeks post-op.  I was released on my 6 week check up to resume exercise (as tolerated) and was told that I no longer had to wear my "armor" BUT was also told that the longer I wore it, the better the results.  I no longer wear the armor at night but I feel better wearing it during the day - it makes it easier for me to stand up straight.  My PS told me that she took a LOT out and when I went on my 6 week visit, she was extremely happy with the results, took my after pictures and said that I didn't have to come back unless there was a problem.  I started going back to the gym 3 days last week and so far 3 days this week.  I've been using "whimpy" weights compared to what I used pre-op.  I've hesitated doing anything as far as my core or anything where I have to lay my "twins" on pads - its actually killing me not to work on my mid-section.  Since the surgery, I get attacked by my "puffer-monster" from the afternoon until I go to bed.  He actually gets extremely mad at me while I'm working out and when I pushed myself harder 2 days ago, I swear my tummy looked pregnant by the time I got home.  So my questions are - how long will I have this monster with me and what exercises work best as far as easing my core back into shape?  I've heard crunches are not the best at this stage.  At this point, I'm not sure if I'm happy with the results because of this puffer-monster.  I really don't want to call my PS's office and bother them with piddly questions like this.  Thank you very much in advance for your replies  :)
