Has anyone tried the Tupler Technique?

I am still struggling with the idea of the massive pain from a TT just to fix my diastasis and HOPE that my muscles work again.  Ellenwood2148 suggested that I check out a local Tupler Technique® Provider. (The Tupler Technique is basically a bunch of exercises for your Transverse abs that supposedly pull your stomach back together and close your diastasis.)  Has anyone tried the Tupler Technique before?  If so, what were your results like?  I spent all last night on that person's blog Ellen recommended.  She is actually coming over tomorrow for a training session.  I am excited and hopeful that it will work and that I can avoid TT surgery altogether. I have to pay for my surgery in about 2.5 weeks.  So I am going to give it that long to try and work and, if not, I will move forward with the surgery.  I HOPE HOPE HOPE it is as crazy effective as it looks like on her blog.  That would be awesome.  But I also know I tried PT for 6 months and it didn't work at all, so I am afraid surgery might be my only option.  I would love advice from anyone who has tried this...

I'm one week into the Tupler Technique (after seeing a plastic surgeon) and am pretty amazed by the results. I would love to know how everyone ended up feeling post tupler. I'm blogging my journey here: bellyafterbaby.wordpress.com

I went to diastasisrehab.com and found the videos, books and belt. That is Julie Tupler's website. I have actually spoken to her by phone twice. She is very convinced by her work and has had great results. There are not that many trainers but I think there is a place on her site to search for one in your area. I tried to get a personal trainer at my gym interested but she blew me off. I would love to find a physical therapist or some other professional on my area to go get her info cause I think it works and would help a lot of people.

What are you guys using to see/do the exercises? A book or video? What's the name of it? How do you find a trainer? Thanks for your help!

It worked really well for me on the muscles. I dropped from Aeropostale size nine to a five cause most of the size was to accomodate a bulging belly. Doing Tupler
made a huge difference. However, my stretch marks from 8 large babies got even saggier and more wrinkled. Shrinking the belly made my skin look even worse. I ppted for tummy tuck anyway. If someone does not have really ugly stretch marks they might be very happy they tried Tupler. They could have flat abs and no scar. A little lipo of stubborn fat pockets might get them looking totally awesome. I am still very glad I did Tupler and I promote it to all my young moms and moms to be. Going to pass my belt, video and book on to my pregnant daughter and get her using it in September. :)

I have been doing the Tuppler Technique for 6 days now and I am absolutely amazed. I keep showing my belly to my mom, my husband, my kids and they think it's a miracle. My mom wants to try it. I just wish I would have taken a before pic when I started last week. I had no idea that I would see such rapid results (I could see a difference by Day 2), so I didn't rush to take a picture. The only way I can get my belly to stick out is to force my muscles out (used to be the other way around, forcing them to stay tight). I measured a 5 finger diastisis at the belly button, and it seems to be down to a 3 in just a few short days.

I had decent results with it. Can't exercise away the giant scrotum hanging off my navel though. You should buy an extra belt or two so you can exercise in it one and then have a clean one. Wearing it during exercise helps a whole lot! I amgoing to review her info to do ab rehab after my tummy tuck.

I have been doing the Tupler Technique for 1.5 weeks now and it is actually working awesome. I had the trainer come back after 1 week. She remeasured me and my diastasis had been cut in half and my waist was an inch smaller. I went from a 3" diastasis to a 1.5" diastasis. It is amazing! My umbilical hernia is also substantially smaller. I can't even believe how quickly this has happened. I am supposed to pay for my TT this week and now I am so unsure if I am going to do it. I think I am going to put it off and see if I can make the Tupler technique close the diastasis on its own. If I could lose 1.5" in 1 week, maybe I can get the other 1.5" in the 2nd week... ok, probably not, but it is definitely working. The one thing I will say though is, in order to get these results, I have been very dedicated about doing the exercises. There are alot of them and they take time. I estimate I spend at least an hour a day doing them. In addition I wear the splint 24/7 with the exceptions of showering and running (I don't want it to get sweaty). That being said, i would MUCH rather spend time doing the exercises than go through the pain of the TT and have some big old nasty scar on my belly. That's me...
