What do you think is the most important thing to know about the garment?

Posted 08 Jun 2012

I have read over & over about the garment. Please post what you think are the most important things to keep in mind about the garment. It could be anything from what style to look for, how to wash it, how to take it on & off, how to know if it fits right, any other things you can think to add that you had to find out through trial & error.

I personally have 3 different brands and the Marena is way far the superior garment, I got the others for a "back up" and I would prefer to wash and wait for it to air dry then to wear any other of them for any length of time. I also bought a costly spanyx that I am still going to say the marena garment is way better!!!

I have the 2 Marena garments LGM-SZ, and the LGS, the shorter one was a summer necessity but not as comfortable as the calf length one. The first one the Dr provided, he only uses Marena garments. I got the additional one from the website. I never tried the FAJA, I did also try Contour MD, Clear Point medical. Marena all the way hands down is #1!!!

wear the garment inside out so that the seams are not pressing against your skin on your thighs.

I am 4 days post op and the garmet my doctor gave me looks just like the marena brand garment and I believe that is what it is. It is very comfortable and is easy to get on when I put the arnica cream/gel on first (as my doctor instructed to do twice per day.)

I will see her again on day 6 post op for my stitches out at which time she said I may go into a smaller size due to reduced swelling. I believe I will get a smaller one when I see her because the one I have is feeling slightly looser than my 1st post op day.

I would recommend the Marena brand garments. I had TT & Lipo over a year ago and used a different brand but had Cellulaze done last week and doctor put me in a Marena garment stage 1 and it is MUCH more comfortable than my previous experience with other garment. I actually think I prefer it better than even the Spanx. Hope this helps as I know the garment is a pretty big hassle.
