What are the ClearChoice temporaries like?

I am hoping that someone can help me that has been to Clear Choice and at least gone through the first phase of having their teeth extracted and temporary bridges places.

My understanding is that if needed you have teeth extracted, then implants are placed, and after that temporary bridges are placed - top and bottom. How are these bridges secured? Are mini implants used or do they use the implants that have already been placed? Also what are the temporary bridges like? How many "teeth" did you get to the arch? Did you have any problems with your temporaries?

No Dents
I had all my teeth extracted in October of 2011. I had the temporaires for 7 months and I will not lie, this is a very uncomfortable time. If you have all four on four as I did they implant 4 posts on the top and 4 posts on the bottom. The temps are like a set of dentures that are mounted on the posts. For 6 month you are restricted to what you can eat. Soft foods are about it, if you can cut it with a fork you can eat it. You don't want to disturb the posts as they need to grow into the bone. The temps are not set like your real teeth would be and they are over sized. This to help keep pressure off the posts. You have to use a Water Pik quit often in a day as food does get lodged under the plates. I am on the 7th month and I have just had my permanent set put in. Wow!
I am so glad I did this. It takes a little getting used to but it is so much better. I am glad I went through with this. Dol

Yes, the water pik is a life saver. But I have my permanent full mouth implants in now and have a problem with food lodging under my top and bottom lip. Can only be removed with water pik. but don't have one of those in a restaurant or eating out. Is there another solution?

First of all I just want to make it clear that I am someone who is actually in the process of the all 4 on 4 procedure. I am in the 3rd month with my temporay set and am pleased to say that everything is healing and going as planned. In three more months I will be getting fitted for my permanent set.Contrary to what has been said on here, I will have to return to CC once a year for a real cleaning where the teeth are removed. No dentist, they are not qualifed for this. I have nothing but good things to say about CC Minneapolis. They have been be straight up and forward with me and always answer my questions honestly. This has not been an easy or cheap ordeal to go through and if you think in the least bit that it would be than you should not consider it. This is probably one of the hardest but bravest things I have ever done. For the sceptics out there and those with the negative comments please don't talk like you have gone through this if you havent, you have no idea and you are only scaring off those who would truly benefit from this. Remember a healthy mouth is a healthy body.

Thank you for some positive feedback. I had an appointment with Clear Choice in San Diego to do my upper. They will have to remove 5 teeth. I also went to Permadontics and a private dentist. After reading these comments about CC I'm really scared. I had a good appt with them and thought they were very forthcoming. If anyone has had dental implants with CC in San Diego I would love any feedback. Thank you.
