less than a week till explant

By flashgirl on 18 Apr 2012

ladies as the title says, i have less than a week till explant.  i have ordered a macom bra for support, but apart from that i havent a clue what to do or expect!!  there seems to be so much geared up into implants, but not a great deal for explanting   has anyone any tips, (ie when i had implants, i took arnica before the surgery) Should i start taking arnica?  also when can you start massaging - and with what? also do i have to wear a bra 24/7, even in bed?   i am a little worried as i have two young children.  when i had implants, i only had me to think of and not lifting and ferrying two toddlers around!!  i also lived close to home and now i'm miles away, so i have no daily support.   will i be able to drive the oldest to school after the surgery? any advice greatly appreciated. thanks in advance xx

Had my surgery 3 days ago and only thing I'm really doing is no heavy lifting. Other than that, everything is normal for me. I too have 2 kids aged 2 and 4 so hubby is doing all the lifting with them. I am not on any meds besides antibiotics because I have minimal pains mainly from the drains. Toughest day was right after surgery since I was put to sleep. With all the drugs still in me, I pretty much stayed in bed slept all day. You will def need on that day bc theres no way I could have done it w/out help. After surgery, it wasnt bad at all and I was able to do everyday chores besides the heavy lifting and the raising of my arms. I even had dinner with some girlfriends day after surgery.

its good to hear that youre not in too much pain! my kids are the same ages of yours, so its a good indicator! are you happy so far? am very nervous and can hardly look at myself at the moment as i know that it will be all change. are things getting easier each day?
