Texture change from Fraxel Repair

I have a patch of skin with different texture after fraxel repair (bumpy). Is there any thing I can to to improve this?

Hi May, O2Intraceutical oxygen infusion facials, lite peels,and even a Fraxel restore or Fraxel Lite (lowest setttings)all may help. Some patients respond to steroid cream. Usually with time the bumpy texture disappears. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Thank you for your answer Dr. Persky. I have done nothing since I had the Fraxel Repair, shortly after I was pregnant then breast feeding. It's been over a year now and I still have the bumps and texture changes. Will this improve over time without intervention or would I need some type of treatment. I'm nervous about having something else done for fear of more damage. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi May, Congrats on your baby. I have treated patients such as yourself with Fraxel repair Lite with very low settings. Fraxel Lite will not cause any further damage, and will likely be helpful. Be well. Dr. Persky

Thanks again. Can I ask what causes the texture change? Is it permanent scarring?
