Tattoo fade creams for semi-permanent eyebrow makeup?

I had semi permanent makeup on my eyebrows quite a few years back, and have recently had them touched up. Now, I want to remove it. I have heard of tattoo off and tatbgone fade creams and that they can be used on permanent make up. Has anyone else tried this on their brows? Also, I wanted to know if it affected the eyebrow hair color or destroyed the hair, as I don't want to look worse. I would be really grateful for your inputs. Many thanks!
