Has anyone had the Lifestyle Lift in Tampa, FL? I've heard about Ft Lauderdale LSL but not enough about Tampa LSL. Please let me know.  Anyone know how much this procedure costs?

Update. It's been 15 months (1 year 3 months) since my LSL and it's still going strong. The scars have totally gone away and now it's a natural looking line in front of my years and has been that way for months. Just a little numbness and tightness around my ears, but nothing to write home about! Heck, I have tinitus (ringing in the ear) and that's worse than the numbness. ha. I'm divorced and have started dating again and the men I go out with are like 'wow' you look better in person than your pictures. Well, I'm going to be 58 this year and for me I feel like I'm 40! But, in truth, I didn't do it for other people (although that certainly has resulted in people looking at me as a more youthful person), I did it for myself and my self esteem. After being married to a man who was immoral for 9 years, and getting those 9 years back with the LSL, my self esteem has skyrocketed. I can only say again it's different for different people. I'll update again in a year or so. Write if you'd like more information or just read my posts. Hugs to all.

Well, it's been 9 months since I had the LSL. Still loving it! The numbness that I had around my ears is almost gone and my neck and chin look fantastic. Back in February, I didn't like the way the scar was healing behind my right ear, so I went back to Dr. Karolak and he said no problem and he re-cut and fixed it that day. While the healing had to take place behind that ear all over again, the results were great and now the scar is fading like the others. After 9 months, my neck still feels tight, and the youthful look still remains and I'm approaching 57! Sorry to hear these horror stories. Fortunately, mine didn't end that way. Very happy ending.

I'd like to say I had a LSL in November 2010 in Tampa, FL (I'm 56) and am extremely happy with the results. My doctor was Dr. Karolak in Tampa and I can attest he was caring and available both before and after the LSL. Of course the healing takes a while, but I followed the post op directions exactly and the scars are fading and healing very nicely. My face initially had some dents and swelling from the surgery, but those have gone away . All these horror stories on here I'm sure may have happened, but I just want to say that I was very lucky in choosing Dr. Karolak. I still have some numbness around the ears, and the scars behind my ears around my hairline are still red, but these I know will fade with time. The front of the ears and under the chin have already healed nicely and the Kelo Cote topic I'm using is fading them very quickly. Each person is different - for me it was worth every penny. Just getting a divorce with a man that took 8 years of my life, I decided I would get back at least those years with an LSL. Well what I got was a lot more! All of my friends say I look fantastic and at least 20 years younger.

Listen, I called Dr. Karolak the day before the surgery after reading the on line horror stories and almost didn't have the procedre done. But after talking with him and his reassurance and support, I felt like this was the right decision for me. Once the shots were done there was no pain. And if you feel anything they'll just give you another shot. Plus you're on a sedative, so you're very relaxed. The pain the third day was the worst, but I just took the pain pill prescribed and rested a lot. Just follow the post op directions and you should be fine. Yes, the third day I was questioning myself on whether or not I should have had the LSL, but memory fades. The best thing is to keep a positive attitude at all times. Read funny stories, watch comedy on TV anything to bring your spirits up while you're healing. If you're a pampered whining type then prepare yourself for some pain. I toughed it out and I was fine after a week. I've also noticed people treat me differenty, I'm not invisible anymore. So it's up to you. You've picked the best doctor as far as I'm concerned. Just remember it is surgery, don't let anyone kid you on that point and give yourself time to heal. Hugs and good luck.

my girlfriend had the lift a year ago april, it cost me over 6,000 and after waiting over a year for improvement to show there is no change . I have stopped making payments until this is resolved. We have sent a letter requesting a re tighten as the Dr. stated he would do if there was no improvement with time. I will keep you posted. If they take care of it and redo properly, or refund the money to be used for another Dr. to get the results we paid for we will certainly post a follow up. If they dont we will be marching with protest / warning signs out front of their building with all press notified of situtation.the publicity will prompt others out to tell their stories , the power of the press moves mountains.

Noone gives the Dr.'s name that they saw? I had a consultation with Dr. Castellano. Any feedback on him?

Has anyone had the signature lift in Tampa, FL? I guess it is similar to the Lifestyle lift but would like to know if anyone has had it done?

Has anyone had the lifestyle lift procedure done in the Ft Lauderdale or Pompano area? I understand the right doctor makes the difference and would love to hear feedback from someone around here.

Hi all, I, too, am trying to research plastic surgeons in the Tampa Bay area. I think I will need a lifestyle lift as well as cheek implants or fat transfer. I would appreciate surgeon recommendations if anyone has the time. Thank you, Kim

Hi Rose...my name is Jerry. I'm a 59 y.o. Tampa male (60 next month). I received the LifeStyle literature about 6 months ago but have not yet scheduled my consultation...wanted to learn more about the procedure first. Just found this website and like you I have an awful "doolap" (Turkey Neck) which I am very self conscious about...I think it makes me look 10 yrs. older than I am. Although people think I'm 48-52 (just being kind I think) I hate the way it looks...not a confidence builder I am very encouraged by your post, notwithstanding other negative posts, and am hoping you could provide the name of the Dr. who performed your lift. What surgery was involved to remove the "turkey neck" look? Are you as pleased today as you were when you posted in August of '07? Is the Dr. board certified? Can I ask how much it cost? Thank you in advance Rose...looking forward to your reply, Jerry

IT WILL BE TWO YEARS COME MARCH. GOOD AT FIRST LASTED ABOUT A YEAR THEN SAGGING NECK AGAIN. NOT WORTH $3700. THE TAMPA OFFICE HAS CHANGED DOCTORS SEVERAL TIMES. NO ADS SHOW THE PEOPLE A YEAR LATER. SAVE YOUR YOUR MONEY.

My LSL was done the first time by Dr {edited}. It was terrible. He tried to correct the proceedure one time, but it did not work. They told me he left the Tampa office. Dr {edited} did the third proceedure on me. The experience was good. He was very kind, but so far he has been unable to correct the mess up on my ears. They look terrible and behind one ear it looks like it is gathered like a piece of material. The ears do look better than they did before, but I am really not at all happy. I would not want to do this again. I live 2 hours from Tampa and I am having to travel back and forth. The office has been very good about not charging me for any future surgery. They tell me they want me to be happy. I hope it all works out in the end. Editor note: you must join RealSelf so you can be contacted privately with doctor recommendations and feedback. My LSL was a little over 2 years ago with Dr. {edited} in Tampa. I picked him because he is Board Certified and past president of the medical society. Sounded good. Recovery time was weeks, not days, and with significant swelling. The novocaine injections weren't fun but tolerable. The shortened earlobes have stretched back to almost normal. Overall, the results looked good, definitely better now than before, with all of the excess skin gone. But--- My cheeks, jawline, and neck still feel uncomfortably tight. I am very unhappy about the LSL procedure of tightening of the underlying tissues. If they would just remove the excess skin, I think the procedure would be a winner. Yes, you would have to have it done every few years, that's gravity. And I wouldn't hesitate, except I would rather be saggy than uncomfortable. There is no way I will ever have this procedure again. I AGREE, SAVE YOUR MONEY. NOT QUITE TWO YEARS FOR ME. SAGGY NECK LESS THAN A YEAR LATER. THEIR NATIONAL TV AD SHOULD BE BANNED. DR. KENT IS MAKING A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS. TAMPA OFFICES HAVE CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES WITH THEIR DOCTORS.

I need feedback as to the office in Miami

I've read all the messages on this board and many others, it's more confusing than before. It's like watching Lost on Tv. I went to the Westshore office for the consult, the Dr. came out and left a patient lying on the table to answer my questions. I'm glad I wasn't the one on the table. People should start using the message boards that let you rate the surgoen. They have that feature on MMH and YTF but hardly anyone bothers to take the time to give a review. If they did it could benefit us all.

I had the procedure in July o6 with Dr. {edited} in Tampa. He seemed rushed throughout my consultation and throughout the procedure. He left me half way during the procedure to conduct a consultation with another client, this was about 30 or 40 minutes of me waiting on the "operating table". Had great deal of pain and nausea for three days. Now, 9 months after the procedure I have quite a bit of scarring and very unnatural looking ear lobes. My friend had the same procedure with Dr. {edited} and is extremely satisfied with the results. I believe that Dr. {edited} is now retired from Lifestyle Lift, for whatever reason. I would be interested to know if anyone else had unsatisfactory results with him. Editor note: you must join RealSelf so you can be contacted privately with doctor recommendations and feedback. Just my opinion. I really think that a plastic surgeon can make you look 30 years old...if you are 20. Just a word of advice, before you go under the knife, do your homework and research. In Florida, ANY doctor can operate on you, whether he/she is a surgeon or not. So be careful and ask for credentials. Most "plastic surgeons" practicing in FLorida are not surgeons at all, just butchers. That's my advice, but I know you knew this already.

I have been trying to find a good PS to do any type of a mini face/neck lift for a long time. I have other med problmes and was told not to go under general anesthesia but most of the Doc's I've seen want to do it that way. I moved here from Ft. Laud and I feel they have way better Doc's. I think there are very few here to pick from. I am considering a Dr. Jasin who use to work for the LSL but doesn't anymore. (Would like to know why) He does a short scar FL. I've talked to a few of his pt's who were happy but are planning on more surgery so it sounds like it doesn't last as well as the traditional type. Does anyone know more on Dr. Jasin or another Tampa Dr. who will do a FL under local or maybe light anesthesia?

I am scheduled for 5/4/07 in Tampa, but I am cancelling. These messages are too scary. I can't believe the split. One message is stating how bad it is and next is raving about how great it is. Could it be someone is being paid to post bogus messages? Not worth the risk to me, I'll keep my 4,000.000.

Do you mind sharing who you were going to? I am also considering the LSL and am doing as much research as humanly possible on all docs within a two hour drive of my home in Clearwater.

Hi, I am scheduled to have LSL in Ft. Lauderdale office with Dr. Haugen in two weeks and would appreciate feedback from anyone that has had this procedure done in this office.

Also, I'd like to know if the incision is in the ear & behind it or in front.  There is so much controversy with the results from this procedure in these clinics that I don't know what to believe.  At least if I know Dr. Haugen has done good work, I'll be okay with it.

Thanks!!
