Swelling at 3 months PO tummy tuck

By Jen.P on 20 Nov 2011

Curious if anyone after 3 months PO tummy tuck, have had more swelling?  My swelling seems to be a little worse then it was a few weeks ago.  Not sure if its because my work out are back to normal.. anyone else have this issuer?

Are you drinking enough water and watching your sodium intake?

Ah... Good point! Horrible at drinking water.

I'd bet on the exercise, as I can see IMMEDIATE swelling when I just go for a walk. I can only imagine after a run. My doc said we are still healing for a year. It takes a really long time. It would take me at least that long to build up to your kind of work outs (if I ever could), so I will worry less about post-exercise swelling. :-)

I have it! UGH so irritating! I'm a little past 3 months and I went to almost completely flat to a rounded look. It started after I began working out again. I was worried it was my Muscle repair being weak but after wearing compression again at night (boo) it was better in the morning. I just wonder how long it takes to completely stop. I told my husband I'll never be able to eat during the summer if I'm going to swell up like this. lol

I feel your pain. I'm about 2 1/2 months out. I feel a month ago I was flatter, now I feel and look round ): It can really get you down, wondering if I'm eating to much and have gained "fat" in the tummy tuck area. Would love to be reassured, again, that this swelling, rounded look is normal and I will be flat someday.

I am a little over 6 months out and I just started fully running again. I find that I am more swollen or bulgy after I run and definetly more tightness. I also think I have started to gain weight in my belly and that is really frustrating, hence the reason I am fully running again. I am terrible about the salt thing too, really need to watch that.
