Is the time stamp on your camera correct because it says 2011?

hi pam.... the time stamp on my camera is definitely incorrect. i followed the directions to try to change the date, but it didn't work....maybe it's because i have a cheap insignia brand camera that i bought when "best buy" was having a promotional sale...
