I had my consult with him. He wont take my case for several reasons I don't want to mention on here. The consult was 3 hours, $75 per half hour. He told me he wouldn't do surgery on me but I wanted to go forward with the consult to see what would come of it. He took a lot of pictures and altered the nose to the way I would have liked it. It looked good but there was a couple things I didn't like. I am sad and upset though because I really need to find someone who can fix this nose and take out these grafts. every doctor I have seen are very leary about taking out my grafts. They are a nightmare. I was thinking of seeig dr. Davis in Fl. next. I don't want the doctors to know who I am on this site so if you have any further questions you can pm me.

Also I noticed that all reviewers here about dr. Le don't have photos. This is suspicious that they are fake reviews. Please be careful.

I had a consult with Le for a revision. I felt he just wants to make money from the consultation. He charges $75 per half an hr. He spent with me an hr which is $150. He tries yo extend the consultation time by asking you tens of questions and doesn't let you ask him any question. He didn't examine my nose and he didn't take any pictures. He wanted me to stay for another 2 hrs so he can make more money! So greedy. I didn't feel comfortable with him at all. I thought he was one of the worst doctors that I consulted. I read on ratemeds that he was fired from the university of MD where he was the head of cosmetic dept. I don't think he is worth it.

are you sure he didn't let you ask questions and didn't examine your nose? that sounds different from his other consultations I've heard about but thanks I'll be on the cautious side. As far as him not having photos...I don't know if you've noticed but tons of doc reviews have no photos, but Penelope arguably the most popular post on realself went to Le for her revision and she's pretty happy and moved on especially after being completely botched by her first surgeon

I have been to more than 20 consultations including for my primary surgery and all consultations don't take more than an hr. Do dr. Le figured out if he gives the patient an opportunity to ask questions and then do the examination and take photos, all that shouldn't last more than 30-45 minutes. This way he won't make money. But he kept going back and forth about asking me to describe what I don't like about my nose and asking about medical history even though I had already filled out a lengthy form about that. I kept tellng him I had questions yo ask snd he would say you hsve to be here at least for 3 hrs in order to finish the consultation process! I just left after an hr bec half way durig the consult I knew no way this crazy man could be my surgeon. That's what I said there are many reviews here about Le but with no photos to support the reviewers claims. This makes me suspicious if these are real patients. Btw my consult w him was last September.

and apparently takes 7 hours for a primary!!!!!! I ran too (before my consult after reading about him being fired). I also would have not been okay with being out for 7 hours (apparently 12-15 for a revision-- can you imagine?!?!?)

When are you gonna get over it?

go run to Grigoryants and get a nose that looks like everyone else, or Rizk who'll give you something so small that when you turn to the side your nose will disappear. Tired of reading your drama queen comments of disbelief. Get over it.

I would rather have a nose that looks good and like "everyone else's"; I have no issue with my nose that G did 2 months ago-- whey are you bringing my surgeon into this? :) I would never go to Rizk-- not sure where that came from. Re: that a drama queen statement-- have you heard of another doctor taking 7 hours for a primary-- other people should know about that (i was replying to Zooster's comment re: her take on Le)? In 10 consults, I never once heard anything over 3 hours!

Probably never?

Sorry that you felt the need to try and insult my post? I understand that you're into Le's work-- however, I didn't write an insulting and nasty comment about his work, did I?

Here is a reply from the man himself: http://www.realself.com/question/average-time-primary-rhino as well as others weighing in on "appropriate duration of a primary rhino"

funny u say that! i told Dr Le people were saying its weird that it would take 7 hours for my surgery! he said please say off the internet and he said he use to do hump removal in 2 1/2 hours now he's at about 3 1/2 guess he's getting slower! i also just met someone at his office that was there for a revision who had her primary with Grigoryants! i will always take a stand that i would rather have a 7 hour surgery and be the only one that week than the 3rd patient of the day 5 days a week! but hey thats just me!

Nice to toss in that little zing to Grigoryants-- I am sure plenty of other doctors have seen revision patients from Le as well. As you saw in that little question that someone posted, a lot of doctors (some very well-regarded were stunned). Some interesting points as well. Just because someone takes excessively long, it does not make them better, just longer. For example, my hair person can do my hair much faster than anyone else who has done it and does it better than people that take exceedingly long; some people are just better at being efficient than others.

I guess, if having a surgeon who does less than 50 noses/year (give your calculation) is acceptable than you got what you wanted! I guess everyone has different requirements for their respective surgeons!!!

couture from the link you yourself posted with Le's response : "Of the 200 rhinoplasties I perform per year, approximately 60-70% of my patients are revision rhinoplasty patients who received unwanted nasal results after having rhinoplasty elsewhere. " wow are you ever going to get over it?

She just posted this-- did you read it? As quoted from her post, "! i will always take a stand that i would rather have a 7 hour surgery and be the only one that week than the 3rd patient of the day 5 days a week! but hey thats just me! (sic)"
