Can a sunburn change rhinoplasty results?

I am just under 8 weeks post op from a revisions rhinoplasty and I was out in the sun for the first time and i got a slight sunburn including my nose...and ever since then my nose feels tight and looks more swollen again...did i do permanent damage to my result?

Hi bs, Sunburns cause swelling, a recent nasal surgery disrupts the vessels in the nose so that it takes longer for the swelling to resolve. Most likely you did not do permanent damage, but avoid the Bahamas this spring break. Hope that all turns out well. Dr. P
