Successful weight loss after TT
By Trifecta on 01 Mar 2011
Hello! I'm scheduled for a breast augmentation, TT, and outer thigh lipo in 3 weeks. I've been continuously losing weight, but will not make my goal wt in time (currently at 175, goal of 145). Due to my schedule, I don't have the option of pushing back the surgery date. I would like to lose another 25-30lbs post op and was wondering if anyone has done this successfully without totally "wasting" their procedures (i.e reclaiming belly sag). I am 5'8, 28 years old, and very pear-shaped, carrying the majority of my weight in my hips, thighs, and butt. Which leaves me optimistic that if I was to lose another 30lbs it would primarily come from those areas. I've discussed it with my PS and he really didn't seem too concerned with the post-op weight loss plans. I know that most of the PS's on this site recommend getting to your ideal body weight first, but I was just wondering if anyone did in fact lose weight after their procedures with limited changes in their post-op results. Thanks!

I was also wondering if I'd be able to lose some weight from my legs and hips now that my tummy will be smaller. I just want a few more inches LOl. I've been running, eating right and all and lost 40+ lbs and have maintained, but no matter what this pear shaped body is stubborn!
So, someone has to know if it's easier to lose in the legs afterwards. I have heard that if you get lipo in a certain spot, if you ever regain, you'll start gaining weight in your other regions. The only way to get rid of fat cells is through lipo or a 'lift' type of surgery. When we lose weight, the fat cells shrink, but can always bulk up...those darn things. So anyways...I am hoping this is the case and if no one has chimed in on this, I'll have to update myself. I go in 4/27/11.
Oh and HELLO!
Everyone is different; everyone heals differently; and I could not wait to get back to my full workout schedule which I was able to achieve very quickly.
My advice would be to focus on healing first and then getting back to your diet & exercice routine. Good Luck!
I hope to hear from others on this issue because I would like to lose more weight, approx.. 10 more pounds
