I wanted to post this to get feedback from others who have gone through the mommy Makeover process. I'm 2 days away from being a full 3 weeks post op. I had a tummy tuck with lipo and a breast lift with no implants on July 15, 2015. My doctor is awesome, the aftercare is great and I've had 5 post-op appts (2 in hospital before discharge & 3 weekly once per week since discharge). Everything looks to be healing well according to my doctor and there haven't been any complications. However, I'm in a lot of pain almost all the time. I swell up like a balloon after 20-30 minutes of being upright, even sitting. I can only eat a few bites of food before by stomach feels like there's a bowling ball in it, I have to wait 10-15 minutes then eat a bit more so it takes hours sometimes just to get a meal down. I'm eating fresh, organics and keeping my sodium intake down in hopes of reducing swelling. I haven't had any narcotics since the first week (7th day), only Tylenol and recently my dr cleared me for ibuprofen so I take 800mgs every 8 hours alternating it with 2 extra strength Tylenol every 6 hrs. Regardless, I'm in so much pain I can barely function, I can barely sleep either. The only time I feel okay is the first 30 minutes after waking up in the morning. It's extremely frustrating because I'm not used to being idle and laying around. The house isn't going to clean itself and the food isn't going to cook itself. I'm a single mom and although my 17 year old is self sufficient, I still feel obligated to cook him dinner at least 4 nights a week. I have to bake and cook, it's just who I am, I just can't let it all go. I'm so miserable but optimistic that it will get better soon as I have to return to work in a few weeks. I would like to know if this is normal or if I'm just ridiculously sensitive. Am I being a baby? Have others been this miserable? Any feedback would be most appreciated.
