I'm using a dermaroller and dermastamp with a natural retinol cream, vitamin c, and organic oils. You can follow my progress with pictures at stretchmarksanonymous.com

I had twins 17 years ago at the age of 23.I was very slim then and it totally wrecked my skin. I just had a mommy makeover 3 weeks ago with a full abdominoplasty and exchanged my implants I had after nursing my third child eleven years ago. My stretch marks were bad. A lot of them but not all are now gone. My surgeon didn't make the incision as wide (hip to hip ) as we'd originally discussed so I still have the stretch marks on my flanks. It's too early to tell you if the surgery was worth all the pain and money but feel free to ask me whatever you want.

Argan Oil from Morocco helped me very well!! My dermatologist recommended this to me. You just have to make sure that you get 100% pure argan oil. Ideally hand-pressed. I used Argand'Or Argan Oil (argandorusa.com). One 100ml bottle will last you 4 months if you use it twice a day.

My understanding is that due to how they are formed and the deep layers of skin affected, stretch marks are very difficult to treat. But I did see improvement with silicone sheets. Since the early 1980s, silicone gel sheeting has been widely used in the treatment of serious scars (hypertrophic scars, surgical scars, burns, keloids etc). . Several clinical studies and reviews have confirmed its efficacy. I knew about them from treatment of a surgical scar I wore OTC silicone patches religiously for months after getting stretch marks with my second pregnancy. I saw clear results in the areas covered by the sheets. I used the large, self-adhesive ones as you can leave them on 24/7 and forget about it (brand was dr blaine's). I have yet to try dermarolling too - that's one I'll be trying soon, I hear it is helpful and not too expensive or invasive.

I've been using the Dr Max Powers Stretch Mark Treatment for 3 weeks now and I've seen amazing results in my stretch marks. They're a lot less visible then they were before so I definitely encourage people with stretch marks to try this product.

I have used Made from Earth's Aloe & Jojoba Creme Therapy for about 8 wks after delivery/pregnancy. The stretch marks are less noticeable by both color and smoothing of the texture. It is a bit pricey, but I'm buying another bottle in hopes to continue the progress. It is better than regular mederma - and sometimes I have forgotten to apply it, but it still seems to be working.

i just had a 8.6 lb baby boy 6 wks ago and before i conceived i weighed 118 lbs and was a size 2. i gained 35 lbs with him and at 6 wks i weigh 130. i know it is pretty soon after delivery but i have bad stretch marks just on my abdomen and my tummy skin is loose. is it true if i had a tummy tuck now it is dangerous to have more kids? also, i have read about laser treatments. i know they don't completely eliminate stretch marks, but is this effective and if so what is cost like? thanks!!

I had a tummy tuck and arm lift 10 days ago. I had extremely sagging skin on the lower stomach, back, arms, all over. And eventhough I had extreme stretch marks from one child birth 30 yrs ago, and possibly due to weight gain and lose, I was not concerned with the stretch marks in the least, but they are gone except for a few right at the the hair line where I was stitched. They were all over at first. I am so happy with my pain free surgery results that I can not verbally express. This was the best thing that I have ever done for myself, eventhough I still have 3 of the 4 drains, I feel completely different from this experience. And the stretch marks being gone is a definite plus.

I am scheduled for a tummy tuck in September and your comments were just what I needed to hear -- I'm finally getting excited. I am in my 40s and have terrible stretch marks from hip to hip and as high as 1 inch above my naval. Going to drop or try to drop 15 pounds where I was before surgical menopause came knocking at age 40. Anyway, thanks for your positive comments.

Hi Jenny I feel for you. I was 16 when I had my son (I am now 28). Ever since I had him I regret not trying to do something about the same strech marks. Mine too are all over my stomach with some loose skin, on my buttocks, down the backs of my legs, on my thighs and tops of my breasts. They are horrible! I too have to cover up everywhere. Actually hard to believe that I do a lot of modeling but thanks to photoshop that they use on every model's image. But still it is sooo embarassing getting even half nude in front of the camera. And I too wish I could wear skirts, shorts, etc but cannot. I tried Thermage 2 years ago but it was a waste of $3,000- coulda put that towards a tummy tuck. Used bottles and bottles of expensive Stri-vectin for stretch marks- does nothing! Possibly Smart Lipo could help us?

Hi i had a tummy tuck done 5 years ago, due to saggy skin, tummy, best thing i ever did, never regretted it and all my stretch marks disapeared or looked so faint you could not see them. Im now pregnant, due in 4 days and hardly a stretch mark at present and all seems ok. my surgeon was dr karidis from st johns wart, he was brilliant and does celebrities and does not over charge you either.
