Straightening setpum for breathing - can it also provide cosmetic benefits?

By 5750anon on 10 Apr 2010

To aid breathing I will need my septum straightened, at the same time my nose is quite bony and the tip is slightly curvy. Would straightening the septum correct this, I would not expect entirely as the objectives are not cosmetic, but would I be right in thinking to some extent it will improve the look of the nose as the setpum becomes more straight?

It depends upon which segment of the septem is being corrected. If it is the posterior half involving mostly bony septum you may not see much visible changes. Any correction or straightening of the anterior and caudal(lower) segments, if done properly will improve the appearence of the nose
