starting to get scared
By egnues on 12 Mar 2012
TT and BR is on the 28th and I am starting to get scared. For insurance to cover the BR my doctor needs to remove 450 grams per breast and I am not sure what that will leave me with and he won't say. Maybe a B or C. I am 44 years old, 5"4, 135 pounds and a 32G. Does that sound right to anyone out there? I want to have something left. I do have alot of saggy skin and he says that does not count in the 450. Should I be worried? My pre op is Thursday. Any thoughts, encouragement, suggestions? I am having the BR due to back pain from a previous compression fracture. Thanks!
My suggestion would be to take some pictures with you to the consult. Show him what you would like to end up with for size. Visual is much easier for the doctors than you trying to explain.
You will do just fine! I was a DDD before surgery and he removed 365 grams from each of my breasts. I ended up with a full C cup after surgery. I have since lost a ton of weight and now a B cup. I love it!!! Light, perky, and pain free.
Much of this all depends on the density of your breast tissue etc.
