Spanx good for pubic swelling?

Hi folks, had a TT on 10/9 and seem to be doing ok, but at my first post op appt Friday my PS suggested I wear biker shorts or spanx as I'm swelling in the one non-compression part of my crotchless girdle lol.  Does that really work? Is icing better?  I don't really feel like the bike shorts are doing much and kind of feel like the swelling isn't too bad and will go down soon enough.  Thank you this is an interesting forum
