Sono Bello / SonoBello Atlanta -- Freaking Out

Hello all, I'm a researcher and, I think, a pretty smart person. I consulted with two doctors before choosing Sono Bello in Atlanta to perform my SmartLipo procedure: arms, abs, bra roll. My surgery is in 6 days and I am beyond freaked out by all of the negative review sites out there. I don't know if I adequately sussed out the best place for this surgery. I've emailed the clinic for reassurance and checked and double-checked my doctor (Stefan Adair's) credentials. Still terrified. I mean I haven't slept in 36 hours, terrified. Any advice or encouragement or hard truths would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I used Sono Bello in Tampa and loved them!

The reviews about Sono Bello often are deleted, I assume because mostly are negative. I went to Sono Bello in Kirkland, payed a fortune, got really weird results, got treated like it is my fault for that. I feel like I payed for a drive trough lipo, where they just want to kramp as many patients as possible, do a super quick minimal fix, leave you with uneaven results and planty of fat.

I would recommend asking the Doc for at least 3 patient referrals.Talk to them and see what there experience was.

Hi,I'm a 36 yro female living in the atl are and I'm just trying ti figure out what's best for me I' not fat I just can't get rid of this baby fat I'm 5/8 155lbs is there anybody that has had a successful tummy tuck give me some suggestions? Thanks guys

I had a choice of three doctors two of which my Gynecologist referred. I felt that since he assisted in the birth of my child that he would give me a good reference. However, I wasn't too pleased about getting put to sleep. So when I heard that I could be awake, I ran with that. I am still researching the pros and cons but my mind is pretty made up. Wow that is interesting that the company contacted you regarding your post.

Ask your Gyne or have someone who trusts their Dr.to ask them for a referral, if you havent already.

Well, Mistic. Shortly after posting this I received an email from Sono Bello saying they read my post and figured out I was the patient. I responded that yes I was concerned because I didn't know much about the doctor but hoped pre-op appointment would ally my fears.

I then got a call from a manager who told me that the doctor was new but it would be fine.

When I went in for my pre-op appointment on Friday I was met by yet another manager who almost immediately told me I shouldn't have the surgery if I was so concerned and then had another doctor (Welsh) come in to tell me that I need to lose 80 pounds to be worth it. That would, by the way, make me approximately 90 pounds. I was never examined. Welsh never even sat down. Adair was not even there. It had obviously been decided that I was not the kind of patient they wanted.

I was given a refund and told to have a nice day. In all I'd rearranged my conference travel schedule, my parents had used vacation time and purchased airfare to be with me, and I wasted my time which, for me, is money.

After a few days of decompression I'm now considering other doctors. Any recommendations for Atlanta area would be much appreciated.

Dr. Schilling in Stockbridge Ga. (20 miles south of Atlanta) Takes the time, explains throughly, and has excellent results.

I'm so sorry about your anxiety! I hear the sono bello commercials here in Seattle constantly on the radio, but that's the extent of my knowledge. Have you done a search for sono bello on RealSelf to see what comes up?

If you're this anxious, it might be worth putting off your treatment until you can feel 100% good about your decision.

Please let us know what you decide to do.

I agree, but people tend to complain faster than they give compliments. I plan to have my abdomen done this time next month so please let me know how your experience went.
