I tried smoothshapes in Baltimore, MD cosmetic/eye surgeon’s doctor office. I choose a doctors office because of medically licensed professionals (RN) administering the treatment. I noticed some improvement in my lower front thigh. No improvement in the back thigh or buttocks area where the appearance was most significant. I followed treatment instructions to include plenty of water consumption (but I always drink a lot of water). I paid $900 for 6 sessions. The office had a special in the month of May. Personal experience, I would not recommend the treatment. Like many women, I was very hopeful and the nurse who administered the treatments was also hopeful but in the end, it did not work. I'm 5'2, 120 lbs, physically active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Looking at me, you would never know I have predominant cellulite in the upper thigh and buttocks area but I do. I wish there was an easy treatment but until then, I believe exercise is key, combined with a healthy lifestyle.

We're the first UK clinic to offer SmoothShapes, and i echo what Dr Sachit Shah says - that no cellulite treatment is permanent. SmoothShapes uses a proprietary technology called Photomology® and does exactly what it says on the tin, delivering a ‘smoother shape’ and tightening the skin. Its technology is different to other systems because of its combined use of dynamic energy and mechanical manipulation to rejuvenate collagen and improve the appearance of cellulite. The treatment uses dynamic laser and light energy to liquefy fat cells and improve skin texture. Collagen is regenerated, circulation is improved and metabolic processes are restored. The contoured rollers and vacuum massage assist in moving the liquefied fat out through the lymphatic system and help smooth out the appearance of skin. The number of treatments needed can vary from patient to patient, some need 4 weeks, others need 8. Whats more, the results are much more dramatic and noticable 30 days AFTER your last treatment.

I tried this treatment and IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL! After 12 sessions, I saw no difference. A month passed by and still I see no effect (They also told me that I would see results after a month, which is completely untrue). So I do not reccommend it anyone.

This machine does not work! I tried it for 12 sessions and I saw no results! You are suppose to only need 8 treatments 2X/week. The clinic in ATL gave me an extra 4 and I still did not see any results. I want my $2000 back.

This also happened to me! The machine is worthless. I am currently trying to get my refund back from my doctor and they will not give it back to me. the clinic also gave me 6 EXTRA treatments and still no results! I want my $2400 back!!!!!

Dr. Simoni, The Smooth Shapes is a laser/light tx combined with message not Radio Frequency. I tried Smooth Shapes and it didn't work. This device can be put in the same catagory as the Vela. The Accent Radio Frequency on the other hand worked great. Thermage can work too if you do multiple treatments but obviously that can get costly. Have you tried the Accent?
