Smart Lipo + Fat Transfer

By carol m on 12 Aug 2012

My dr. has suggested fat transfer after my smart lipo. I hadn't thought of "enhancing" my butt, but now it seems like not such a bad idea! everything I have read says no, the cells are dead. Has anyone done this proceedure? Mostly, if done and it fails, what happens, is it dangerous? Will I be left with a saggier butt!?

Hi Carol,

A BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) is a procedure where the doctor takes fat, via liposuction, from areas of your body such as back, flanks, lobe handles and then places it into your buttocks. It is a common procedure now with a lot of women and men going for bigger butts.

We have a thriving BBL section, which you can take a look around. The BBL community is very friendly and supportive and I'm sure will give you lots of advice. http://www.realself.com/Brazilian-butt-lift/reviews
