What size did you end up after all the swelling went down compared to just after breast reduction?

By jenschi on 19 Mar 2012

I am 5 days post op and still a d. The surgeon said he took a couple hundred grams of mostly fatty tissue. I was a dd before surgery and a d now. Is there still hope I will end up a c?

jenschi - Has your swelling gone down any? I'm 1 week post-op and my right is (hopefully) swollen. My fingers are crossed that it will go down and I'll be more even.
Hi twice is nice,
Yes it has gone down some. I have stayed away from bras for the last few weeks and that has helped me focus on how they look on me and not the letter ony bra. I think I still have some swelling on the sides where the drains were so once that is gone I should be a C. I'm not going to worry about it and I will wait till 3-6 months out to determine my size.
And don't worry about eveness yet. Sometimes my right seems bigger, sometimes they're even and when I work out my left swells more. Try not to worry, they should even out.
Thanks for the update! I'm glad you're settling into things and you're swelling is going down. We're both really early in the recovery process, but being patient is difficult. :o) I'll try to follow your lead. ~Nice
I was a D immediatley after surgery and i have settled into a full c at 3 1/2 months.
I feel the same. I am a D. Wanted to be a C. I think I will have to lose some weight to get to a C I guess. My PS told me they can only take so much without interfering with nerves and stuff.
