Silicone vs Saline

By CCC's Mommy on 17 Feb 2011

Had my first consult yesterday for my mommy makeover. It went pretty well, felt like the doctor and I were on the same page. The only thing that I am really unsure about is what type of implant? There is about $1000 difference, but is it worth it? Would love some advice...

I think that just the difference in price is a reflection of the feeling of them being real? Plus I'm 48 and my skin is thin so rippling for me would be very likely. Having them in the sports bra and feeling them was incredible but then I've been putting socks in my bras for months now so everything feels better than that lol

I haven't gotten mine yet but I did go with the Silicone. Less rippling and feel more natural :)

Also I have terrible rippling with Saline.

I am going with Silicone implants this time around. I had Saline the first time and developed terrible capsular contractions. My PS and I went through a long discussion and I feel comfortable going with Silicone.

At first I was going to get silicone but they are known for capsular contractions and women end up needing to replace them after a few years and they end up getting saline anyway. I'm definitely going with high profile saline implants! They are much safer in the long run and they look &feel wonderful! My co-worker has saline implants for over 8 years and she says she loves them. She let me touch them and they felt great!

I am considering this issue too. Im concerned about the health risk and recommended MRI screening in regard to the silicone. Let me know what you chose to do and why?
